It’s basically illegal to negotiate with terrorists and the time do its with a potential deserter. this regime is going all out to do maximum damage before they leave office.
It’s even slicker than that. Zero helps his terrorists buddies by setting up a mechanism where they can get 5:1 any time they feel like kidnapping an American soldier.

Bergdahl’s father spoke some Arabic words: “Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim”. Meaning “In the name of God, most Gracious, most Compassionate”.

So basically we traded a potential deserter who was probably turned by the enemy and may have been training terrorists how to make bombs whose father speaks arabic and is a potential muzzie as well for five of the worst terrorists held in Gitmo who when released will do their best to try and help the Taliband take over Afghanistan.
What could go wrong with this plan?
Is there any way we can get this out to the rest of the new media? The old media will never touch this story or will leave most of it out.
Except that Mexico will just turn them loose to sneak back across the border.

Seems that the Taliban played the US like a borrowed violin. The Taliban are very clever at the PR game. They knew that the administration needed something to take away the headline bashing caused by the VA fiasco, so they offered an outlandish trade. We blinked, they win.
Our complicit press will show the magnificence of our President and team in securing this negotiation as a brilliant play when in fact we were played by the Taliban.
Think I would be willing to sacrifice myself before letting my country set a bad precedent negotiating with terrorists.
He might have been turned even before he was captured, if the emails are legit. The whole thing is creepy, and this White House is like something out of the craziest conspriacy movie ever. A quasi-muslim President (at least raised as one) after the worst terror attack in world history, committed by muslims... The father Bob Bergdahl is a piece of work.
On the other hand, one of ours is worth five of theirs.

Not this one, I'm afraid...part of me wants to think this is a good thing, regardless of the surrounding circumstances, but a larger part of me recoils in disgust at what we've just done.
