DENVER (AP) Colorado's Civil Rights Commission on Friday ordered a baker to make wedding cakes for same-sex couples, finding his religious objections to the practice did not trump the state's anti-discrimination statutes.
The unanimous ruling from the seven-member commission upheld an administrative law judge's finding in December that Jack Phillips violated civil rights law when he refused to make a wedding cake for a gay couple in 2012. The couple sued.
"I can believe anything I want, but if I'm going to do business here, I'd ought to not discriminate against people," Commissioner Raju Jaram said.

Polls show about 2% identify as gay. Other polls show that the public thinks that 25% of people are gay.

If he cannot discriminate against anybody, then jewish bakers must bake cakes for Nazis, and black bakers must bake cakes for the Klan. Must not discriminate you know.
Close the bakery down.
Incorporate the next day under a new name.
The old entity went out of business. And the panel can shove their two years of quarterly reports up their rear end, which they would probably enjoy immensely.
Can’t help but wonder what Commissioner Raju Jaram might believe.
“Sorry, but we don’t do wedding cakes or cakes shaped like schlongs”
It probably wouldn't matter. Since the baker is a Christian, the cake would be as good as any other cake; vengeance such as spiking the cake with something nasty, is quite fundamentally un-Christian, so I doubt he'd do it.
However, the two creeps who demanded this of the baker, would probably have a big "fun" and self-righteous display at their pretend wedding where they destroy that cake, and serve another one made by a gay-friendly baker, much to the hilarious delight of the "enlightened" guests.
Nothing new under the sun. People are people. Homosexuals have been around for a very, very, very long time, at the Almighty's discretion; He must have a reason.
Government alone fuels the homosexual agenda. Without the force of government, "gay marriage" would be dead in the water, and we'd all be getting along on a much more copacetic level, respecting each other instead of using government force to change each other.
I suppose telling them to eat shit and die would be redundant?
The panel is evil.
“then jewish bakers must bake cakes for Nazis”
The almond* frosting would be delish.
* “Hydrogen cyanide has a faint, bitter, almond-like odor that most people of European descent are unable to smell due to a genetic trait. Hydrogen cyanide is weakly acidic and partly ionizes to become the cyanide ion CN in aqueous solution, resulting in a colorless volatile liquid with the typical hydrogen cyanide odor. “
It would work, too.
I’d bake them one. Not a very good one mind you.
So this guy was the only baker in the entire Denver-Lakewood area and the gays had no where else to turn to get their wedding cake?
Good way of doing it. Actually, just post a note that 5% of all proceeds will go to a (pick one) organization.
as with with wedding photographers, DJs, florists, bands, caterers, all in the industry should require by contract that an invitation to the wedding ceremony be included so that they may be allowed to “speak now” and refuse to “hold their peace”... silence is consent... and failing to provide for a “free speech zone” is a violation of the rights of the business owners.
I look forward to reading stories with “boo hoo, the homophobe baker ruined my wedding” diatribes.
“Incorporate the next day under a new name.”
And a new menu:
Normal wedding cakes......x amount
Specialty Cakes
Sodomite & Sapphic Unification cakes...........$10,000
(Results not guaranteed)
We are now slaves, it seems. But not all of us.
Let me join the chorus and say that’s an absolutely brilliant idea. Kudos to you. I hope it catches on.
Since you voluntarily surrendered your rights in exchange for State-granted privileges by incorporating - or by accepting the State’s presumption that you are operating under incorporated status without refuting it.
Why do you think they call income taxes “voluntary”?
