(CNN) -- The four acoustic pings at the center of the search for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 for the past seven weeks are no longer believed to have come from the plane's black boxes, a U.S. Navy official told CNN.
The acknowledgment came Wednesday as searchers wrapped up the first phase of their effort, having scanned 329 square miles of southern Indian Ocean floor without finding any wreckage from the Boeing 777-200.

Well DUH I always knew that..the plane is NOT in the Southern Indian Ocean..the Malaysian Govt and the US Govt already know that..the plane is most likely in Pakistan or Iran..they know it but they can’t do anything about it til one day the plane will be seen again

Of course, it wasn’t the plane. They knew it wasn’t. We knew it wasn’t. But they spent untold amounts of money to keep the storyline going. “They” can pinpoint our cell phones and cars down to the inch so “they” know exactly where that plane is and what happened to the souls aboard.
This will likely generate an all time record number of conspiracy theories, surpassing the Kennedy assassination and 9/11.
I was an am still of the idea that it was downed, or ran out of fuel en-route to Diego Garcia as a projectile.
However, by Occam’s Razor it is highly likely that one of the pilots downed it or ran it out of fuel in the middle of the ocean.
And Pakistan/Iran needs a commercial plane for what?
Our government knows.
It was never about the plane, it was about the cargo.
Fill it with explosives, slap an American Airlines Logo on it, and fly it into a New York highrise.
I have believed this since General McInerney stated this on Fox news he
had some sort of intelligence from Boeing!!!! I BELIEVE he was correct!!!
Both those countries already have plenty of commercial planes, I’m sure, they hardly need to steal one.
Others here have even suggested using it to attack Israel. Again: Why? Pakistan and Iran have much more capable fighter jets for such a thing.
The terrorism angle just doesn’t fly. Occam’s razor says the plane simply crashed somewhere. I know that’s not as fun and dramatic as a terrorist hijacking plot, but whatever.
I have had a gut wrenching FEAR that this plane would bw used to
bring down the NEW freedom tower as soon as it opens!!!!! Many others
have expressed to me however if someone wanted to do this they
would just buy a plane!!!!!
If this were pilot suicide, he would have crashed the plane in the China Sea..the EgyptAir co-pilot didn’t turn off the transponder, or A-CARS, he just yelled Allah Akbar and crashed the plane..there was no mystery behind it. I just don’t believe that this pilot or co-pilot did all of those crazy maneuvers, hiding from radar, turning off everything, just to crash it

My question is, if the plane is in some hanger somewhere, where are the passengers? Thrown into mass graves? There were some passengers who were very electronic savvy, telecommunications experts, they could have some value to whoever did take the plane
