President Obama was welcomed by the Black Knight of the Hudson for his speech at West Point on Wednesday, but less than 25 percent of the cadets gave him a standing ovation upon his introduction, the Daily Mail reported.
Receiving tepid applause and a short standing ovation from less than one-quarter of the audience upon his introduction, Obama argued for a contradictory foreign policy that relies on NATO and the United Nations while insisting that America must always lead on the world stage, the paper reported.
During his speech, which the Wall Street Journal called consistent with that of every post-Cold War administration, the president also took a swipe at critics, saying: I believe in American exceptionalism with every fiber of my being. But what makes us exceptional is not our ability to flout international norms and the rule of law; its our willingness to affirm them through our actions.
Much of the presidents speech focused on using military force only as a last resort and working with allies to solve global conflicts.

Dear Emperor Zero,
Arming terrorist is a tool used by rogue nations and terrorist states.
Why not less than .025%?
I passed through the room when dumBO was telling the Cadets that global warming was going to affect the way they were going to carry out Boy Scout missions. I am surprised he did not rename USMA to The Boy Scout Academy at Fag Point, to make it politically correct.
I pray the Commencement Ceremony in three years sets the record straight.
anyone got the video?
Might I assume the 25% were Col.s and above?
Seems to be the thing these days...the kids get it....
While I get him, Beckley is the poster child for nasty, constipated, myopic, sour-tempered liberalism...no sense of humor or perspective AT ALL!
We swore to uphold and defend the Constitution so how does a serving member react “respectfully” to someone who is ACTIVELY shredding, ignoring and usurping said document...?
And this is NOT hyperbole...he has actually, in public, denied the legitimacy of the tenets of the Constitution. This is treasonous....
So does the military turn a blind eye to this?
Here’s half of it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nA1BtELxFJs
You want the cadets to stage a coup?
After our nation elected this guy, or allowed it?
The same voting public that ushers in Boehner, Reid, Cantor, Cornyn, Paul, Rube o, and gives us Romney?
Don’t be silly.
The cadets work for us.
Do people not know about the military?
Upon signing up, free speech is taken away. The military is NOT a democracy.
Stop
So said those responsible for Nazi concentration camps...how’d that work for them at Nuremberg?
I am NOT advocating a coup or even overt defiance...but being able to express your disagreement, respectfully, or council otherwise is a soldier’s right. When you sign up, you do not throw your own Constitutional rights away.
Also, tell it to the LGBT soldiers in the next gay parade.
And last time I looked, we are NOT a democracy but a Representative Republic.
And telling me to “stop” is not FR polite and patently futile, my FRiend.
Ha!!
Osage Orange at the ready, Sir!!!
Ditto that!!
Obama receives standing ovation from less than 25% of West Point cadets: report
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Because 75% of the cadets have read history written by Sir Winston Churchill. They know exactly who Obama is and what he represents.
Actually that sounds pretty good. It means that 75% are not in with ZerØ’s agenda.
There may be some hope for the Republic.
Beat me by 4 seconds!
“...being able to express your disagreement, respectfully, or council otherwise is a soldiers right.”
I don’t want to get into a big debate, and I don’t want to hear any insults, so, when I ask you to cite this in the UCMJ, just give that a shot.
Just for the sake of others reading, I must say, no. This is quite incorrect.
So. Let’s stop dumping on these cadets.
