Above: It all came to an end tonight for soft-on-illegals TX Lt. Gov Dewhurst.

In tonight's Republican primary runoff in Texas, pro-amnesty Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst (R) was crushed at the polls tonight, ending more than a decade in office. His unabashed tough-on-illegals opponent State Sen. Dan Patrick trounced him by a 2-to-1 margin.
Dewhurst, who was also defeated by now-Sen. Ted Cruz in a 2012 GOP runoff, has long been criticized by conservatives for his alleged suppression of Arizona-style legislation to bar sanctuary cities for illegal aliens, among other tough bills, in his presiding role over the TX Senate over the past decade.
Dewhurst has gone to great --some would say unethical -- lengths to hide his past record supporting in-state tuition for illegal aliens, and even a "guest worker" amnesty for illegals.

The best thing about Douchehurst getting thoroughly spanked is the crow Rove is going to have to eat because of it.

“Outstanding results tonight for those of us in the great state of Texas.”
Good on all of you there in Texas! You did good! If you had only gotten Cornball too, but anyway what’s happened today is a big plus for Conservatism. Now go get Ralph Hall. No one needs to be in the House for 46 years.
Bravo! My feelings exactly. These third world socialist parasite invaders have ZERO desire to learn English or embrace American culture. They seek to destroy our way of life and literally out breed native Americans.
Somehow we must compel the vast majority of them to leave and never return. We must build an impregnable wall on our Southern border.
Operation Wetback worked during the Eisenhower administration and it can work again -- we just need leaders with the will.
This celebration may well last several days, so sure, I'll dust off a nice bottle of anejo tequila. But there's nothing wrong with the now numerous Texas distilling companies' products (from *this* side of the border) to bid Dewhurst "Hit the road, loser!" ;-)
Yep—the Tea party is dead-—NOT!
And it was only a couple of years ago that some FReepers were touting Dewhurst over Cruz because ... um... "electability" or something.
