Above: It all came to an end tonight for soft-on-illegals TX Lt. Gov Dewhurst.

In tonight's Republican primary runoff in Texas, pro-amnesty Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst (R) was crushed at the polls tonight, ending more than a decade in office. His unabashed tough-on-illegals opponent State Sen. Dan Patrick trounced him by a 2-to-1 margin.
Dewhurst, who was also defeated by now-Sen. Ted Cruz in a 2012 GOP runoff, has long been criticized by conservatives for his alleged suppression of Arizona-style legislation to bar sanctuary cities for illegal aliens, among other tough bills, in his presiding role over the TX Senate over the past decade.
Dewhurst has gone to great --some would say unethical -- lengths to hide his past record supporting in-state tuition for illegal aliens, and even a "guest worker" amnesty for illegals.

I’m raising a glass of fine single-malt to Dewhurst’s political demise. It’s been a long time coming.
SAAAWEEET!
Windy, you're up . . .
.
Paxton said Branch voted for driving for illegals.
I dont think Ralph Hall was pro-amnesty but he did get endorsements from Huckabee and Ted Poe.
Hang on just a minute. I just got in from the north field, let me go get a double GlenGemorra and I will join you.
Let’s hope as Texas goes so does the country.
I have lived in Houston all my voting life and while the politicians claim to be conservative some just give lip service. Patrick is the real deal. Over at the Houston Comical they are calling the Patrick win the beginning of the end for the Republican party. Whatever.
Why don't you stay in your own POS states and leave red states alone.
It was all the poor guy could do to keep from crying.
You most likely have misjudged your constituencies' values and priorities on a grand scale. This embarrassing loss just might be your fate if you choose to endorse "amnesty" aka "the dream act" or "pathway to citizenship" or any other slimily repackaged amnesty-by-any-other-name program.
Adiós mis amigos. Disfrutar de la jubilación.

We need to get these parasite, uneducated welfare leaches the hell out of here and jail any body that hires them. They will leave by the millions. NO MORE illegal alien DEMOCRATS!! Out of my country. We are a sovereign nation!! Guard the border with my army!!
Sláinte!
Well, the Left better get busy and recruit more illegals to vote in Texas. In the driving rain storms throughout the state today, approximately 700,000 Republicans voted in the Dewhurst/Patrick runoff race, while the top Democrat race only had 150,000.
Thank you to all the new conservative voters moving into Texas for joining us at the polls. At our polling place today, we met couples from FL, MI, and WI. Welcome!
Having a Mai Tai in celebration of the end of RoveEnomics in TX
Gee, kind of like when a candidate expresses conservatism he/she wins?
Forget your single malt toast, the proper toast for this is with tequila.
Don’t get cocky; the libs will keep infiltrating your state with people who can’t afford to live under the policies they voted for any longer. Sadly Dims never learn and when they move to another state to avoid the policies they voted for, then will go right back to voting for the policies that drove them out in the first place.
Being a lib means never having to confront reality.
Outstanding results tonight for those of us in the great state of Texas.
As to leaving the red states alone,... too late!!!
The Texas I knew as a child growing up is fast fading.
The construction cranes I used to count with pride, I now despise. I admire capitalism at work, I despise socialist f@cktards moving here to escape the results of their own stupidity and thinking it is the correct thing to reapply their failed policies to this state.
They are moving here at an alarming rate.
Turn Texas blue is a harrowing and increasing likely event.
I would love to banish the thought, but it is what it is.
We always have to stay vigilant and not get cocky but...sometimes you have to acknowledge and enjoy sucess a little!
Tee martoonies, please.
