Before the 14-year-old girl allegedly fired the shot that killed Endia Martin, the .38-caliber revolver had touched many hands.
A south suburban gun shop known for selling weapons later used in crimes in Chicago. A Hyde Park man whose mother did not want the gun in their home. A former Atlanta man now living on the South Side who would appear to be a middleman of sorts in the gun's journey. The paralyzed uncle of the 14-year-old girl who, prosecutors charged, rode a bus to give the gun to his niece before the fatal confrontation. Someone at the 14-year-old's side at the confrontation who was savvy enough to quickly fix a malfunctioning gun.
And then the suspect, the honors student who authorities say fatally shot 14-year-old Endia for the most mundane of reasons a fight over a boy.

You don't know where it's been.
PS .. I’ve always had a healthy awareness of used guns ... just because.
Chicago does not have a gun problem it has a Democratic party voter problem. Its not like white devil suburban dwelling white privileged oppressors are riding into town to shoot up these vibrant neighborhoods or anything. But there in the Tribune fantasy land where PC lies rule the day a gun now has a soul an evil soul created on an island by an evil white privileged scientist who hates women and minorities.
Emotion without a hint of reason ....
Thus proving the futility of gun restrictions.
Any man too dangerous to own a gun is a man too dangerous to walk the streets.
—and from the Milwaukee J-S-
“Prosecutors said the confrontation drew close to 20 people at least some of them armed with a lock on a chain, a metal pipe and a bottle...”
A crowd of adults gathers, by pre-arrangement, to watch one 14 year old girl kill another 14 year old girl?
I can’t believe this happened in a modern American city. And I sympathize with the prosecutor trying to hold them all accountable, not sure it’s entirely legally valid for many of them, but still. The imbecile uncle yes, maybe the one woman mentioned, probably.
What is wrong with what these people did far surpasses any illegality. It seems they are completely morally depraved.
Meanwhile this drive-by media outlet runs a feature story on the history of the weapon.
This is all so demeaning.
Obama’s America.
This all the gun’s fault.
A culture based on emotional impulse rather than reason and respect.
An “honor student” shoots her rival.
PAINFULLY PREDICTABLE?????
reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllly?
Responsibility has been erased from the individual, they are now the “victims” of a non thinking object that somehow caused injury and death and most impotantly fuels an agenda
If the original buyer’s mother wasn’t a hoplophobe, she would be alive today!
From the article: “According to the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the average time between the legal purchase of a gun and its use in a crime is nearly 13 years”
So just how does a waiting period reduce crime?
Did they also report that the gun was stolen at some point and entered the criminal pipeline?
Savage tribes need a strong, all poweful king.
And then the suspect, the honors student who authorities say fatally shot 14-year-old Endia for the most mundane of reasons a fight over a boy.
I wonder if this person could have achieved honors status in, say, 1955? Somehow I doubt it.

Get your finger out of your ear, you don't know where that
