Democrats Now Calling for Shinseki to Leave VA

Several Democrats are joining the call for Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki to go.

Georgia Senate candidate Michelle Nunn on Friday became the latest Democrat to break with President Barack Obama and call for Mr. Shinseki to go in the wake of the scandal that has engulfed the agency and become a major distraction for the White House.

“It has become increasingly clear that we need new leadership to build confidence, focus and accountability at the VA to fix what is wrong with the agency,” Ms. Nunn said in a statement released by her campaign Friday. “I hope that General Shinseki will step aside to allow for fresh leadership to tackle these pressing issues and support the veterans that the General is deeply committed to serving.”

Ms. Nunn fits the profile of Democrats who want Mr. Shinseki to resign. She needs to show voters she’ll break with Mr. Obama on issues important to the White House and she represents a state with a large number of veterans and active-duty service members.

There are surely more to come. Members of Congress and candidates will spend the Memorial Day weekend appearing at events back home, where they are certain to be asked to weigh in on the scandal.

Ms. Nunn joins former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, who is trying to get his old job back, Kentucky Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes and Georgia Reps. John Barrow and David Scott, who were the first Democrats to call for the secretary’s resignation.

I do think if November shapes up to be as big a train wreck as it's looking to be, the long knives will be out for him.

But I will not write the epitaph of the Democrat Party again. Did that in 1980 and again after 9-11. They've got more lives than an old crazy woman's house full of cats. No shortage of STOOOOPID LIV's who are always willing to cast their votes over racial or economic grievances.

Dems plans for this election are very obvious, to do what they did in 2012 to get out the Democrats votes, a short list:

Paint GOP as opposing helping ‘the people’ blocking higher pay for workers, and taking away food from their kids mouths, all to defend the wealthy's $$$$$ .

Paint GOP as opposing and attacking Obama because he's black

Paint GOP as being for employers discriminating against women.

Paint GOP as hating immigrants because they are not white

Get judges to overturn voter ID laws, and paint the GOP as Southern 1950s racists who are blocking minorities from voting

However its not 2012 its an off year election, there is no Romney to focus on, and too many things have gone wrong the past few years that Obama has not been able to control the messages on.

Many Obama voters are disappointed and demoralized and wont get up out and vote regardless.
