On Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) gave House Republicans six weeks to pass amnesty legislation before President Barack Obama starts to use executive actions to ease deportations and change immigration laws.
Weve waited 329 days, were willing to wait another six weeks, Reid said, according to Politico. But at the end of six weeks, if something hasnt been done, then theres gonna have to be a move made. And its too bad we have to do that, because we all know things can be done administratively, but its better to change the law.
Schumer, who has previously said there could be legislation by "June or July," concurred.
They have about a six-week window, from June 10 after the last Republican primary until the August recess. If they dont pass immigration reform them, the president will have no choice but to act on his own, he said, according to The Hill.
Schumer, along with Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL), has said that this year is the last chance to pass sweeping amnesty legislation. The New York Democrat has also suggested that Congress pass the Senate's amnesty bill, which the Congressional Budget Office determined would lower the wages of American workers, but delay the implementation of it until Obama leaves office in 2017. Reid also endorsed Schumer's suggestion, which would give amnesty to all illegal immigrants who arrived in the country before 2014.
House Republicans have said they would not proceed on amnesty legislation until they could trust Obama to enforce the nation's immigration laws....

Heh. They are looking at a big loss in November. This is why they are talking like tyrants.
Beware the lame duck Congress.

Actually, there is a growing Christian population in Africa, Asia and to some degree in South America—people who are Bible believing Christ followers.
Putting THEM at the top of the immigration list would have a very positive effect on this nation’s moral culture and work ethic.
They want to get it done now so they can register before voting in Nov.
Rich liberal elites want cheap labor - and fat cats who donate big money to both parties want it. And yes, that will make it harder to stop - but not impossible. A coalition of whites, blacks and Hispanics bound together AGAINST congress might be interesting...
Obama has already decreed a backdoor amnesty for an estimated 1.8 million Dreamers. Approximately 500,000 Dreamers have already been legalized including the issuance of SSNs and work permits. The Reps have been practically silent on what should be an impeachable offense. Instead, Eric Cantor is proposing a GOP version of the Dream Act.
The Rats are administering the coup de grace to the GOPe. The GOPe simply can not survive in the current political environment. Goodbye GOPe.
Unfortunately, the control-freak nature of the GOPe will compel them to commit suicide by immigration “reform” rather than allow themselves to be defeated by their real enemy, conservatives.
Either way the GOPe is checkmated (via amnesty) by the Rats. It’s “game over” for the GOPe an quite possibly “game over” for the Republic. If so the ethic cleaning of the former United States of America will begin in the not to distance future. Hopefully some regions of the county will see the “writing on the wall” and leave the union.
