A still-classified State Department e-mail says that one of the first responses from the White House to the Benghazi attack was to contact YouTube to warn of the ramifications of allowing the posting of an anti-Islamic video, according to Rep. Darrell Issa, the Republican chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.
The memo suggests that even as the attack was still underway and before the CIA began the process of compiling talking points on its analysis of what happened the White House believed it was in retaliation for a controversial video.
The subject line of the e-mail, which was sent at 9:11 p.m. Eastern Time on the night of the attack, is Update on Response to actions Libya. The was written hours before the attack was over.
Issa has asked the White House to declassify and release the document. In the meantime he has inserted a sentence from the e-mail in the Congressional Record.
White House is reaching out to U-Tube [sic] to advice ramification of the posting of the Pastor Jon video, the e-mail reads, according to Issa.
Issas full statement can be read here.
Asked about the document, a senior White House official told ABC News it demonstrates that the White House genuinely believed the video sparked the attack all along, a belief that turned out to be incorrect.

Yes, Amerika is and will continue to move socialist, which is basically communist lite. We are going there. Make no doubts about it. As long as the serfs are happy with those $250 per month checks and free phones, we will continue down that sorry road.
Another angle on this is it is OK to post and anti-Chritian video but you better not post an anti-Islam video or we are going to get you
.
Excellent comment. You would think there’d be ONE document leaked by Snowden or Manning that would indict Team Obama on these scandals. The absence of any suggests that Manning and Snowden ARE OPERATIVES OF TEAM OBAMA and are very careful to release information which harms America but not Team Obama.
You are so welcome - always! I hope you have a good weekend.
Isn’t it funny/odd now to remember scratching your head over the apology when we first heard about it? Who knew?
Absolutely!
Yes, especially Hillary’s and 0bama’s repeated use of the pointed statement “we want to be clear that the U.S. government had nothing to do with this. (video)” That stuck out like a sore thumb.
Bingo! Nakoula was set up to be a patsy/scapegoat prior to Sept. 11th.
Exactly! See post #141. An unmistakable pattern is emerging from the fog of propaganda.
Interesting that Nakoula the film maker is also a FedMob stooge.
Producer Of Anti-Islam Film Was Fed Snitch
L.A. man began cooperating after 2009 fraud bustInteresting that Nakoula's websites track back to connections with 0bama.
Proof Positive - In My Opinion (who created Innocence of Muslims)(Obama)Interesting that Nakoula's partner in the film was a palestinian Muslim with terrorist connections who was also watched by the Feds for three decades but never arrested and frequently bailed out by the Feds.
Why is the Coptic Christian filmmaker partners in crime with Coptic Christian hater?
- Nakoula is a FedMob snitch.
- Nakoula's partner in the film was Eiad Salameh, a Palestinian Muslim.
- AFAIK Nakoula was never a film maker before. He was a check kiter.
- The film was not originally about Mohammed.
- Clips from the film were first aired on Egyptian TV just 3-4 days before Sept. 11th by a hardline 'tele-Islamist.'
- 0bama, Hillary and Rice have repeatedly made a point of saying that the U.S. gov had "nothing to do with the film." Why did they keep saying that? No one in the world would have ever thought that.
- 0bama and Hillary have engaged in a major campaign of disinformation to blame the film and apologize for it.
Nakoula and Eiad may have made the film.
Someone else handled "distribution" and "promotion" in Egypt.
I think I figured out who “Pastor Jon” is. Here was Issa’s quote:
White House is reaching out to U-Tube [sic] to advice (sic) ramification of the posting of the Pastor Jon video, the e-mail reads, according to Issa.
Due to the number of typos, I am of the opinion that “Jon” was supposed to be “Jones,” as in Pastor Terry Jones, the guy from Florida who threatened to burn Korans.
Holeee Crap!
I don’t know why I am shocked at things like this, but I still am. Impeach the Bastard!
U may very well be right and I hope there were email communications that can point to that fact.
These people should be imprisoned.
What do others think of this claim?
>> Must be one of Obama's sons writing this email.
Either that or the writer was cr@zee l!ke a Focks so that werd surches of documentz woodent locate this email in an investigation...
Imprisoned? You forget, due to their actions on one hand, and deliberate actions on the other, that four people are dead. Any legal ramifications pertaining thereto should involve not incarceration, but hypodermic needles (although I would personally prefer lengths of hemp rope...)
