A third-grade teacher at Mill Plain Elementary School is in hot water after she was accused of going too far by asking students to pay to potty.
Students in the class earn Monopoly play money through good behavior and performance that they can then spend on toys, treats and using the restroom.
Last week, two parents complained that their children wet themselves at school because they couldn’t “afford” to go to the bathroom. Officials in the Evergreen School District are investigating the claim.
“My daughter finally told me, ‘We have to pay to use the bathroom,’” said parent Merchon Ortega. “Nobody should have to pay to use the bathroom.”

We homeschool, and had a problem for a while with using “gotta go potty” as an excuse to delay or get out of work.
Children will pull that. Of course, there’s a huge difference between a parent accounting for it and the teacher doing it.
In the old Catholic schools of my childhood, you practically had to be dying to get a pass to the bathroom. Or “lavatory” as it was called. Many a nun ended up with a very wet desk and a very wet child.
NO another sneaky way to TAX!
Memphis is making people pay to fix their own broken side walks or be fined big $$. These technically belong to the city, even though they are on Your Property. In many places it would cost thousands of $$ to do so. Seniors can’t afford it.
This is a city that does not repave their broken, pot filled side streets, only the major use roads.
Pay with OPM (Other People’s Money). It’s only Commie Core FAIR.
