Years ago, daytime tv was dominated by soap operas. I can remember my mother having a hissy fit every time one of her favorite shows was interrupted by a presidential speech.

I was driving to a lunch time meeting when Herman Cain was interrupted for this “speech”. The POS was even on Fox Business so I was happy there was one network which did not carry him: PGA Network. I blissfully drove along without the desire to slam my car into a bridge abutment.

Can you remember when CBS interrupted “As The World Turns” to report that President Kennedy had been shot? ATWT was live back then, and when they cut back to the show, the live actors had no idea what to do, they were all upset about the President.
