“Georgia looks like a run off will be between Perdue(nepotism) and Kingston.

I really was ZERO fan of Sunny Gin Perdue or good ol’boy. I can’t help but think the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, so I will support Kingston.”
*********************************************************************

Perdue would be totally unacceptable. Kingston would be a decent Senator and I would support him also. If we can get our short term family finances together, I’ll donate to his run-off campaign.

The Georgia primary has been kind of funny. I started out supporting Broun but shifted to Handel when Broun could not get traction. I’m very surprised that Handel hasn’t done better given several recent polls. I guess there was a lot of late political ads that turned things around.

So now our hope shifts to Kingston. I hope that Perdue and his money can’t buy the run-off election. I suspect that if he gets in the Senate he will be a RINO’s RINO who wants to “get things done” and to “work with those across the aisle.

And after posting, I see Perdue has been given the win, waiting for second place.

That is true. Democrats do out number the GOP registered voters in Ky.
It is also true McConnell only won his last election by 6%.

And that was before he trashed and crushed the same voters he will need
to win the general.

Grimes is a better democrat candidate than his last opponent.
McConnell is more despised today than his last election.
And he has pissed off a big part of the GOP base.

Do the math.

This is the craziest thing to look at. Let the page load including the map, then click on each county. The far southeast should be Perdue country, but he was slaughtered. The other counties jump all around from Gingry to Handle to Perdue to Kingston. It should be a case study for election politics and how the advertising and candidate visits affected voter turn out and voting. GOP, Test CASE. LOOK AND STUDY!!!! Test case!!!!! Georgia Primary with several candidates. What did they do different in each county?

I am at least as informed as you...probably more so.

I think Patrick will win. I just hope is isn't by a huge margin. He's a loose cannon!...I saw with my own two eyes. I haven't paid attention to Dewhurst ads so I'm unaware of his "lies." If that makes me low-informed, so be it.

I am NOT a fan of the GOPe.

the math says we won’t have to worry with the turtle after this year. Does he get immediately removed from leadership once he becomes a lame duck/turtle?

Patrick doesn't have Dewhurst's entrenched good-ole-boy network. Conservatives have a chance to keep Patrick from building one.

People change a lot in 30 years. Loose cannons don't build election warchests and keep senate seats for very long.

Yeah, I just really started following the whole mess. Perdue would be very unacceptable. Is the run off in June?

No, unless he resigns early, if he is beaten, he can still rape and pillage
through the lame duck period.

“Republican majority this election is our only hope”

Do you know how many elections have people saying such things? The answer is all of them.

Here’s the truth: with a republican enemy in office, republicans can’t do much. But with a dem in office, they can do plenty.

With a dem in office the voters can blame the dems. With a republican turncoat in office, GOP voters can’t do much except walk away, sit down and mope.

It’s important to cancel the dinner party and clean the home of cockroaches than to have the guests come over and see the cockroaches in your home.

If McConnell wins this primary, you lost. You lose either way whether you have McConnell or Grimes. Let that sink in, you are a loser either way.

Now if you think the GOP taking the Senate will allow Cruz, Lee and Co. to have power, you are delusional. McConnell will never let them have the time of day.

Accept it, you lose no matter what.

But if McConnell is taken out, then you have a chance to win in future elections. But this election is lost no matter what. And that’s by design.

Republican

67.3% Reporting

Winner* D. Perdue 29.9%
J. Kingston 27.2%
K. Handel 21.1%
P. Gingrey 10.0%
P. Broun 9.9%
D. Grayson 1.0%
A. Gardner 0.9%
Whether it is Handle or Kingston as the #2, I hope the votes for the other conservatives coalesce and take down Sunny Jr.

Yes McConnell winning the primary and losing the general was called several months ago here on FR.

It’s entirely predictable.

I’d hope a Republican majority could make a positive difference with SCOTUS, gun control, free speech and other such issues. And hopefully, work to strengthen our military.

And I’d truly hope that since so many are running against Obamacare they could make a difference there as well.

That’s what I hope, I’ll leave it up to the country to see what we get.

The right GOP majority could make a difference. But not most of this
GOP bunch lead by McConnell.

I didn't say I was voting for Dewhurst. But Patrick is NOT awesome! He is a liar and a phoney.

I don't want to vote for either of them. I think Patrick will win but I hope he has an opponent next go round.

It’s Lt Governor.

Patrick is better but far from perfect.

Dewhurst has to go.

Patrick is running for Lt. Governor, but he's currently State Senator. Loose cannons don't hold onto Senate seats.
