Reminds me of when I was in ABATE and one of our local politicians did not vote like we thought he should. Some of the bikers decided it would be appropriate to ride up and down his street with loud pipes late at night. Yeah, that's gonna’ win him over.
excellent post!
If they don’t want the business of legal carriers, that is their business.
But it also tells potential criminals that Chipotle is an UNARMED VICTIMS ZONE. Look for armed robberies of these stores to rise.
(P.S.- A LARGE banner posted outside of a store saying something like, “ATTENTION CRIMINALS! This store does not allow Legal carry of weapons. It is safe for you to rob!”, would likely create one hell of a stir.)
Even in Israel where soldiers have rifles over their shoulders everywhere it’s with the mag out and no round chambered. These guys are idiots.
I eat chipotle often. I’m not entirely clear why you’d need a rifle since the meat is already dead.
I’m as RKBA as the next NRA Life Member but I cannot fathom what reason to bring a rifle into the restaurant. Handguns sure but rifles ?
Nuts.
Jake and the Fat man.
Not just a sitcom.
Popular Restaurant Chain to Gun-Owning Customers: Don’t Bring Your Business To Our Stores
I don’t recall that right in the Constitution...could you point that out to me?
I have three words for them - Luby’s, Killeen, TX.
The guys with their muzzles resting on bricks don’t deserve, no, let me rephrase, those weapons deserve better owners.
Now the whole place has posted a sign with a complete ban on all guns, permit or not.
Sometimes I think these people are working undercover for the anti’s.
They couldn’t be much more effective if they were.
It looks like they have managed to turn three gun agnostic restaurant chains into antigun establishments.
I have lived in states which allow open carry and I support those laws. The main reason is so they cannot prosecute people for accidentally letting their concealed weapon be seen.
I have never openly carried except when in the woods etc. Just don’t want to advertise that I have a weapon.
That would be a reasonable conclusion but sometimes stupidity is the obvious choice.
Who knows but for sure they aren’t on RKBA side.
I think some of the open-carry advocates are taking things to an extreme, and it might backfire. There typically is no urban threat that makes it necessary to carry a rifle with you like Lucas McCain when you go into town. If such a threat was present, you probably shouldn’t bother going into town.
Open-carry advocates who do so are trying to focus attention on a political agenda, at the expense of the business they use for these demonstrations. Coffee shops and restaurants just want to serve coffee and food; they don’t necessarily want to become a focal point for 2nd Amendment politics.
I can’t stomach the liberal group “Moms Demand Action”. But I don’t blame these businesses for taking a somewhat neutral stance, trying to keep the majority of their customers happy.
I agree.
Not much point in making these pronouncements, as none affect where I carry or when.
