~The FReeper Canteen Presents~ Road Trip: Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina Shaw Air Force Base is the home of the United States Air Force 20th Fighter Wing (20 FW). It is also home to Headquarters, Ninth Air Force (9 AF) and Headquarters, United States Central Command Air Forces (USCENTAF). The mission of the 20 FW is to provide, project, and sustain combat-ready air forces. It is the Air Force's largest combat F-16 wing. Today's 20th Fighter Wing can trace its lineage to 28 July 1947, when the 20th Fighter Wing, began at Shaw Field, South Carolina, as a Ninth Air Force unit. Components of the new fighter wing included the 20th Maintenance and Supply Group, the 20th Airdrome Group, and the 20th Station Medical Group (later Tactical Hospital). The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a compact, multi-role fighter aircraft. It is highly maneuverable and has proven itself in air-to-air combat and air-to-surface attack. It provides a relatively low-cost, high-performance weapon system for the United States and allied nations. The Fighting Falcon is a dogfighter with numerous innovations including a frameless, bubble canopy for better visibility, side-mounted control stick to ease control while under high g-forces, and reclined seat to reduce the effect of g-forces on the pilot. It was also the first fighter aircraft deliberately built to sustain 9-g turns. It has a thrust-to-weight ratio greater than one, providing enough power to climb and accelerate vertically if necessary. Read More About Shaw Air Force Base And The History Of The 20th Fighter Wing HERE! FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT~Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allies military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.
Please remember: The Canteen is a place to honor and entertain our troops. The Canteen is family friendly. Let's have fun! We pray for your continued strength, to be strong in the face of adversity. We pray for your safety, that you will return to your families and friends soon. We pray that your hope, courage, and dignity remain unbroken, so that you may show others the way. God Bless You All ~ Today, Tomorrow and Always |

I found some compression wrap left over from Lynn-Dah’s surgery. It works better than the bubble wrap and painters tape.
The swelling has gone down but it still hurts to walk and climb stairs.
Lynn-dah got three little walks today.

Read: Matthew 24:32-44
Some people say that the Bible is just a collection of fairy tales. A boy slaying a giant. A man swallowed by a big fish. Noahs boat-building experience. Even some religious people think that these events are just nice stories with a good moral.
Jesus Himself, however, spoke of Jonah and the giant fish, and Noah and the flood, as actual events: As the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be (Matt. 24:37-39). His return will happen when were not expecting it.
Jesus compared Jonahs 3 days inside the big fish to the 3 days He would experience in the grave before His resurrection (Matt. 12:40). And Peter talked about Noah and the flood when he equated it to a future day when Jesus comes back (2 Peter 2:4-9).
God gave us His Word; its a book that is filled with truthnot fairy tales. And one day, we will live happily ever after with Him when Jesus comes again and receives His children to Himself.
Were waiting for You, Lord, to come
And take us home to be with You;
Your promise to return for us
Gives hope because we know its true. Sper
We have reason for optimism if were looking for Christs return.
In His teaching, Christ often used examples from nature, as He did here with the fig tree (Matt. 24:32). He communicated to His listeners with word-pictures that would be familiar to them. They were part of an agricultural society that mostly lived outdoors, so nature became the perfect vehicle for His presentation of spiritual truths.

Good evening, JJ...((HUGS))...getting really windy.
A jogger at JBER got mauled by a brown bear on a training trail yesterday. Seems a sow and cubs came out just as she passed on the trail. She walked out and a passing soldier took her to the hospital. Yikes!
Had any rain?

Hi - just did what dad said to do and make a countdown calendar - the short time calendar is the last 20 something days in Nov. I’m doing instruction and when they interview some prospective candidates I’ll flight test them. OTOH I’m still a regular. Some of the people here are sad to learn I’m leaving. I told them I’ll come for visits from time to time.
