Veterans Affairs officials warned the Obama-Biden transition team in the weeks after the 2008 presidential election that the department shouldn't trust the wait times that its facilities were reporting. ‘This is not only a data integrity issue in which [Veterans Health Administration] reports unreliable performance data; it affects quality of care by delaying — and potentially denying — deserving veterans timely care,’ the officials wrote. The briefing materials, obtained by The Washington Times through the Freedom of Information Act, make clear that the problems existed well before Mr. Obama took office, dating back at least to the Bush administration.”

Since so many VA deaths have occurred over such a long period of time due to Arizona VA Hospital waiting list procedures, would it be proper and honorable that former Vet, and current US Senator John McCain immediately resign from the US Senate?

Obama could care less about USA veterans. Both Obama & Shinseki should be removed from office...Obama, should be impeached and Shinseki fired!!! Then both Obama & Shinseki should be charged with criminal attempt & neglect, with intent to kill USA veterans needing priority medical treatment. These cold hearted low lifes, beginning with Obama, should linger in jail for the rest of their days and then proceed to “Hell” for eternity!!!
Has no American or national organization of political stature, the courage and conviction to bring forth a petition to impeach “Traitor” Obama immediately???
This is another problem that the Bush Administration threw over the fence to the Obama Administration and of course, everyone knows how much the Obama Administration respects and honors the military and its veterans, as compared to the Bush Administration.
As a result, the Obama Administration is doing everything within its power to fix what's wrong and will move mountains to regain the trust of America's veterans in the VA Healthcare system.
Obama seized power in the election of 2008, but his immaculation wasn’t until January of 2009.
The VA has had a multitude of issues reaching far back, that much is true. Obama has only added to the problem several fold because he does not care at all about the veterans and he does not hold anyone accountable.
I would not be surprised to find the fake records for appointment/wait times did begin under President Bush since he did care about veterans and was trying to hold VA administration’s feet to the fire to get them to solve the issues of backlogged claims and wait times for appointments. Faking records was their way of responding to pressure to shape up. The fact is now though Obama has been there several years so at this point it is all on him that he did not pressure VA to shape up and did not have oversight enough to catch their dirty dealings.
I remember some rats calling for Bush to step down immediately so Obama could get 'right to work' fixing problems.

I despise Bush and Jeb and any others in the “secret society”...that said, Bush has been and was nothing but a champion for our vets and this crap did NOT happen during his terms...this is purposefully chaos meant to chase away good soldiers and keep anyone from wanting to sign up...where the hell are our linguine-spined republicans?
I remember a press conf where Parrt Murry was in front of a VA Hosp talking about how Obama was going to fix the situation then Obama nominated Shinseki!

I suspect obama doesn’t view the VA as a scandal, but rather as a working business model for obamacare. It has the necessary elements.
The chronically sick, infirm and elderly being denied medical care in favor of letting them die, thereby preserving the part of the department’s limited budget that would be drained caring for people the government has decided are going to die anyway.
The only part missing is the issuance of a painkiller in lieu of care.
This whole VA issue has the bloody hands of ezekiel emmanuel, or his philosophy, all over it.
