When Black Americans decided that they would throw their full support behind Barack Obama in both of his presidential runs, they set in motion a rolling stone that cannot be stopped. It is foolish and dangerous to give your unyielding support to anyone, let alone someone you know very little about.
As a Christian American black female back in 2008, I got in many heated discussions with who I thought were other intelligent Christian black Americans (some were my close friends since childhood). I got the shock of my life when I was yelled at and called all kinds of names by individuals that I thought were both Christians and also my friends. No matter how many facts I presented about candidate Barack Obamas record supporting issues that were contrary to what these individuals claim to be against (e.g. abortion), they were unyielding in their support for the black presidential candidate.
During the 2007-2008 presidential campaign, I was in the military on active duty. I used to sometimes spend my lunch break in the Wing Chaplains office discussing scriptures with the chaplain. I had a tremendous amount of respect for this chaplain, who happened to be black. He would constantly try to convince me to come and speak at his church (he pastored a church in the community) because I had such in-depth knowledge of the scriptures.

Fact: African-Americans have never been served well by “their own kind”, whether it is Barack Obama, the NAACP or the CBC. Having said that....there is little hope for them as group...unless they change their political culture and really assimulate into the general American society. They are just simply adrift at sea and are surviving in Obama/NAACP/CBC created economic & opportunity slavery!!!
They are failng to realize that Obama is a failed POTUS...and Obama, The NAACP & CBC continue to bring them down. The coming years will not be kind to them...for they suffer widely from their self-inflicted political wounds...and will continue to do so, for many years to come. Sad for them and America!!!
The good news is.....there is trickle of enlightened views and change culture afoot, alive and well!!! Let us pray to our Lord.....that the enlightenment spreads widely among the African-American communities across this great nation. Obama is no friend of American blacks.....he never was....and, never will be!!! And...a big ditto for the NAACP & the CBC!!!
Why? “ now we gonna get sh*t! Good sh*t! White people sh*t ! “.
- actual quote word for word from a black Obama voter on election night first time around.
If it were all just skin color, conservative Blacks would get some votes and some action once in a while.
As Rush Limbaugh used to say — YOU CAN’T FIGHT SANTA CLAUS.
If someone is giving you money, welfare and all other goodies, you tend to ignore the other values.
In other words, the MONEY is too much to ignore.
The “duhs” are starting to add up. And it only took — what — seven years (from the start of his candidacy, based on nothing and air, two years before the election) until now?
There would have been no dilemma if blacks had voted on his record, obfuscation of his background and clear lack of character instead of his skin color. He wouldn't even have been able to have created a dilemma over gay marriage.
Blood is thicker than Christianity.
I have realized that after witnessing most of my fellow black parishioners supporting Obama unconditionally.
As a white person, I have experienced quite a number of uncomfortable verbal confrontations by blacks towards me in public since Obama was elected, sort of a feeling that it's now ok to express rage and to insult whites at random, even if they have done nothing to you personally.
Whenever this happens, I immediately say, "Are you a Christian? Do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ?" Usually they say yes. I then say, "So do I, so you and I are sisters/brothers!" -- with a big smile. It usually stops the negativity.
This is from “The Onion” right?
No doubt. However, when you have the first opportunity in history to do so you more than likely are going to. Vote for someone of your race that has never held the highest office in the land, or even the world. Because you want to believe in the person and assume that his enemies are lying about him. After all, he had expressed that he was against gay marriage almost up to the day that he no longer was against it. The rest while partially exposed was easily dismissed as his enemies (read racists) lying about him. The press also did their part in making the case that it was racism at play, not the man’s true record.
It is the tribal way.
However, I have heard it said by a black friend, that if you want something done right, get it done by a white business. He told me blacks were more likely to take advantage of other blacks. Just like politics.
