The Iranian military says that it has fully reverse engineered a downed U.S. drone and armed it with missiles "to attack the U.S. warships in any possible battle."
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) made the announcement on Sunday as Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei toured an IRGC military compound to view the new drones, according to reports in Iran's state-run media.

The chances of Iran being able to successfully fire missiles from a drone and have them hit any target are pretty slim.

Why don't they just use their Navy?

These sand monkies couldn’t put to lego blocks together much less a drone.

Yeah, OK.....they can make a drone but can’t refine their own oil.

The chances of them being able to reverse engineer an example and have it function in any meaningful way are slim at best.

The drone was probably a Trojan horse to begin with. That sucker has tracked and tagged every research facility it’s been sent to, among with sending back key data on their ‘top techs’, including Russians.

Well since you let the cat out of the bag and typed classified information of the plan ... I’ll just be quiet but am glad plan was successful.

Good thing we don't have to worry about them getting a nuclear device together. We can stand down on that front for sure.

While Islam prohibits alcohol, these types of announcements lead me to believe there is no such prohibition on acid.

Yeah, right.
Has anyone here ever been to a “94th Aero Squadron” restaurant? Usually they’re located on or near regional airports. They usually have WWII warbirds on poles outside; Mustangs, Spits, Jugs, and Warhawks, mostly.
You initially think that the airplanes are neat (unless you’re a warbird junkie, where your reaction will vary between “Those things should be flying!” and “Those things should be in a museum!”), until you get up close and realize they’re just 1:1 scale Fiberglas models cast from moulds of real aircraft.
That’s what Iran’s “reverse engineered” US stealth drone really is. A non-flying fiberglas reproduction that looks authentic ...

Whew... I'm glad to hear that. I guess we must also assume their nuke plants and nuclear bomb making capabilities are also reproductions that don't work.

Apples/Oranges.
Simplistic atomic weapons can be made using early 1940s techologies. As the surviving residents of Horoshima and Nagasaki, circa August 1945, can attest.
Stealth aircraft require a whole different level of materials, fabrication and electonics engineering and manufacturing capability.
