WOW! This person is in need of some serious psych eval. Sounds like she is obsessed with shootings and they seem to consume her every waking moment. These are the folks who don't care one whit about actual facts. Having an exit plan is just SOP for a lot of folks. It's called being prepared and gaining situational awareness. I guess she isn't concerned about an out of control automobile smashing in to the kids school bus. Looks like the fear mongers have done their job on her.

I spend a lot of time worrying about my kids being shot. She does not. Ever.

No, she doesn't have the time to worry about her British kids being shot, because she's too busy dealing with the higher levels of stabbings, muslim-initiated assaults, and overall robberies.

Heidi Yewman, who lives in Vancouver, Wash., is a board member of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gum Violence.

My guess is that most of her stated fears in this article are simply a lie.

And so one may conclude that the UK is a utopian oasis from this right?

In the UK 110 crimes are committed vs 42 in the US per thousand population. Is it possible that the US crime rate of less than half that in the UK is because of the self-protection that firearm ownership conveys?

BTW, lady, you should be worrying more about your kids being run over by an automobile than being massacred in school, because being massacred in school doesn’t even make the top 500 list of causes of childhood mortality.

If the author of that hysterically asinine article is so worried, she could simply convert to Islam and the British government would then (seemingly) welcome her with open arms. Our society is far better off with it’s guns than with sniveling morons like her.

Well, looks like someone’s pink panties are in a wad.
Where is the husband/dad/man of the house?

Me thinks if he is around, he done been outfitted with some pink panties of his own.

And who would she call if someone invades their home?
Hell I could ask questions like this for hours and it would never sink in to this twit. She has been fully indoctrinated to the point of no return.

"There are hundreds of millions of gun
owners in this country, and not one of
them will have an accident today. The only
misuse of guns comes in environments
where there are drugs, alcohol, bad
parents, and undisciplined children.
Period."

My kids grew up in a household full of guns and I never worried about them getting shot. Their school was full of guns and I did not worry about them getting shot. They even shot those guns during class hours sometimes. Yes, we homeschooled. We had no children full of Prozac in our school, although we at times had boys that were boisterous, loud and obnoxious. No girls got pregnant, nor did the boys impregnate any girls outside of our school either. All pupils went on to lead sane, productive lives, even the youngest who was developmentally much slower to learn than his peers because of a rough birth.

In other words: It’s not the guns, Lady.

When my young kids went to play at friends' homes, I'd have to ask the parents if there was a gun because...

Because I never bothered to teach my kids not to go through closets and drawers when visiting someone else's home and I never bother to ensure that my children are directly supervised by responsible adults. It is the government's job to make sure that everyone's home is child safe.

“I have dozens of friends who cannot celebrate Mother’s Day with their kids because their kids were killed with a gun”

There’s a nice absolving of the perpetrators.

Lady, if you feel that frightened over the mere thought of a gun, feel free to buy yourself a lifetime supply of diapers, because they’ll be more beneficial in the long run than trying to get me to give up my guns.
