We've spent a lot of time across the pond visiting family and fully understand the U.K. and the U.S. are two countries, as they say, "separated by a common language." But when I look at my sister-in-law's experience raising her two kids, I realize there is a difference.
A big difference.
I spend a lot of time worrying about my kids being shot. She does not. Ever. When my young kids went to play at friends' homes, I'd have to ask the parents if there was a gun because statistically 40 percent of homes with children do. My sister-in-law never has to ask.

She needs to throw away her TV.
"There are hundreds of millions of gun
owners in this country, and not one of
them will have an accident today. The only
misuse of guns comes in environments
where there are drugs, alcohol, bad
parents, and undisciplined children.
Period."~Ted Nugent
Is it too late to give Oregon back to England?
There is NOTHING the UK can teach the US about ANYTHING except the WRONG way to go AFTER you chop off Charles I’s head!!!!!
I always fall back on the Magnum Carta.
I thought it was the Magnum P.I.
Only for the Ferrari. 308 GT if I remember correctly.
A Liberal and her hoplophobia - it’s an ugly thing.
Its starting to look like my distant relatives were all running around with the Culper spy ring whether known or unknown. Most were living on Long Island and Connecticut during the occupation.
Charlie Waite: ......”you may not know it, but there are things that know at a man worse than dying”....
To me and many like me, this woman should be locked up!
I bet her kids ride in a car every day too. Kids are killed in cars every single day. Does she obsess about that too?!
No, as a liberal, she knows there are some white males out there that own guns, like guns, buy and sell guns and shoot guns and hunt with guns SO SHE JUST HAS TO “CONTROL” that!
I have many Sons of the American Revolution to look up. I am related to Samuel Washington though a cousin also. The revolution was an interesting time.
My kids grew up in a household full of guns and I never worried about them getting shot. Their school was full of guns and I did not worry about them getting shot. They even shot those guns during class hours sometimes. Yes, we homeschooled. We had no children full of Prozac in our school, although we at times had boys that were boisterous, loud and obnoxious. No girls got pregnant, nor did the boys impregnate any girls outside of our school either. All pupils went on to lead sane, productive lives, even the youngest who was developmentally much slower to learn than his peers because of a rough birth.
In other words: It’s not the guns, Lady.
Some of my Allen ancestors were running around in the Green Mountains at that time conducting guerrilla style warfare.
No she has to worry about her kids being beaten, raped, strangled, clubbed or knifed.
My impression from visiting there is that they are obsessed by their kids being abducted as they walk to and from school.
Also no mention of the massive number of “hot” (AKA home invasions) in England vs. USA. In this regard Americans are not genetically superior to Brits; it’s just that our subhumans reasonably fear being shot if they try home invasions while the British subhumans don’t because their law abiding citizens have been disarmed.
Because I never bothered to teach my kids not to go through closets and drawers when visiting someone else's home and I never bother to ensure that my children are directly supervised by responsible adults. It is the government's job to make sure that everyone's home is child safe.
The violent crime is rampant from every report I have read. No wonder the parents are afraid their kids will get kidnapped.
I can't find the other one right yet, but I remember reading this us vs uk 6 months to a year ago!
Keep an eye open for it folks!!
