Insurgents say Ukraine region opts for sovereignty
The Miami Herald ^ | 05-11-2014 | Peter Leonard

DONETSK, Ukraine -- Ninety percent of voters in a key industrial region in eastern Ukraine came out in favor of sovereignty Sunday, pro-Russian insurgents said in announcing preliminary results of a twin referendum that is certain to deepen the turmoil in the country.

Roman Lyagin, election chief of the self-styled Donetsk People's Republic, said around 75 percent of the Donetsk region's 3 million or so eligible voters cast ballots, and the vast majority backed self-rule.

“Oh and I’m sure they had the number of yes ballots
needed out back of the polls in the truck.”

That always happens in Milwaukee and Gary elections....

Tell me more about my “script”.

Check my postings and tell us how many Ukraine threads have I been on.

Then tell us who my handler is.

Yawn, yourself.

Your tagline interesting—

Putin your JC???

My Christ bowed his head, had the skin flailed from his
body, nailed to a cross, and took the sins of us all,
especially me, for the only victory that counts.
my soul saved. Winning political battles with a
maniac with a JC complex, don’t cut it

For me, the whole thing comes down to ‘none of our business. I do not understand how or why so many here are determined to saber rattle with Barry in the white house knowing well all that will come of it is dead Americans.

I fully get that some people there want Russia and some patriotic Ukrainians do not. And I want THAN, not us to deal with their own issues. I don’t hate either side. Nor am I for either side. I’m for our side staying the hell out of their affairs just as I am for them staying out of ours. I think many here would agree. But SOME people just have to fling accusations of communist propagandists on every thread that pops up.

to what end? Whose?

Yet, in the polls that are tested via elections, Pew proved repeatedly to be correct with the result. That goes some ways with me. They predicted Bush in 2004 too, when many in the MSM predicted Kerry. If they were dishonest you would expect them to distort the results, but they didn’t.

And all the polls were being shredded in 2012, except Gallup and Rasmussen. Even Pew, to a lesser extent. Well, as it turned out...Gallup and Rasmussen were wrong and Pew was bang on.

Yet Pew has a record of being wildly off for propaganda value during the ‘off season’ and mysteriously tightening up with the rest come vote day.

I wonder what that could be about. Could it be that they push poll as long and hard as they can? Could it be to work in concert with their other business/political/agenda interests?

That’s what goes a long way with me. John McCain and Lindsay have stellar vote records too. But spend the other 364 days a year not voting pushing liberalism on their constituents.

Now mock Jesus Christ. Interesting.

I suppose Jesus Christ will evacuate all the right people and leave the planet to Satan? When you can read Putin into someone standing up for Jesus Christ you're obviously one sick troll MF.

Have a nice day

‘’happens in Milwaukee and Gary elections’’

Well why should it happen to a better place
like Ukraine...........

Ukraine to me, a 74 yr old redneck gunnut, is one of the
few places worth fighting for. I’d go if I could.

Some things that stick in a man’s craw, is worse

Tell me again how the clever Parachute Brigade didn't defect, they were just fooling the crowd by flying a Separatist flag. That was a perfect example of the Kiev cheerleaders repeating whatever Kiev puts in a PR even when there were dozens of videos that showed the exact opposite days before Kiev admitted the truth and dis-banned that brigade.

So, regurgitate all you like.

Yeah, I don't think military intervention of any sort, or any sort of military aid would be a good decision right now, especially with current leadership.

But doing nothing seems like appeasement to me. Doing nothing will just encourage Putin to keep doing what he's been doing on a larger scale. Who's next? Kazakhstan? Estonia? Lithuania? Even...*gasp*...Poland?

I wouldn't mind actual sanctions, restricting their access to the international banking system, oil deals with the Gulf sheikhs, and possibly blocking Russian oligarch assets from leaving the country. Russia is basically a Mafia-state fattened by skyrocketing petro and gas revenues and are much weaker than they look.

Putin and Russia have to believe that doing this again will hurt more than it helps, or sooner or later, they will become bold enough to threaten direct U.S interests. They are already Iran's lifeline as it is, they aren't exactly our friends here.

You pretend to know Christ and accuse someone else who stands up for Jesus Christ of worshiping Putin just because they don't buy the party line you're spewing about Ukraine?

You're not the least bit concerned about Jesus Christ as anything other than another tool in your little trolling toy box to throw at anyone who disagrees with you.

How dare you accuse someone of worshiping Putin when they publicly stand up for Christ. That's beneath all the Christians I've ever known but it's not beneath you is it, troll?

Wow, you’re not only barking up the wrong tree, you’re in the wrong forest.

You must have me confused with someone else.

I am not here pushing an agenda. I’m here to get knowledge.

“But doing nothing seems like appeasement to me”

A HUGE part of the problem is that President Red Line is out of ink for the Red Line drawing pen.

No one trusts anything he says, to the point that Obama’s lying has become a real national security threat,

Oh we know putbama won’t do anything drastic, as he is
helping putin, ;;flexibility;;.

But real bank sanctions and some programs that would help
us here as well as Ukraine would do in putin and russia..

Like ship greens to putin, drill/ frack like hell, help
Ukraine and EU do the same, ship them gas, coal, keep our
own good coal energy plants open, IE bust the price of energy. buck a gallon gas, light bills we can afford, etc.
And it wil lhelp all the world..

Russia will done, putin will be found in a ditch.
ME terrorizm will done, iran sobroke wouldn’t be able to
nuke a pissant..All it takes to solve it all.Deflation...Ed

I think it’s perfectly possible to be worried about Putin’s shameless aggression while not expecting Obama to do anything that would stop him.

I don’t particularly like the corrupt Kiev government either at this point, but they seem to me at this point the better of two evils. I’d even venture to say that the majority of the Ukrainian people agree with me.

I understand what you mean. And contrary to how it may seem, I don’t like the fact that we look like appeasing/appeasers. the problem is that sanctions are an act of war. always have been. As is providing ‘humanitarian aid’ because that means it frees up cash to buy ammo.

IMO, we (America) have promoted the insanity for decades now that they were not acts of war. And because we have done it so often without blowback, we now have idiots like Kerry standing on TV Telling Putin “YOU CAN’T DO THAT TODAY!” or whatever drivel that was.

Russia, China, ad a couple other places don’t care how WE define squat. We now have a whole generation believing/raised to believe that Disney movies are real when it comes to this stuff and a well made speech will melt the ice cold heart of Putin/whoever.

As a nuclear power, we have a responsibility. And as a country, we have a responsibility. To our people. If we get involved it should be to win. Period. Since Vietnam that has not been the case, save for Reagan. And this is Russia. Another nuclear power.

If we get in it at all, they have the right under the ‘rules’ of warfare, to consider us the enemy and fight back. that is WW3. Because they too have a responsibility to their people. Neither of us can go to war without nukes eventually being used to protect those people.

And Russia does not have any responsibility to ignore aggression against them. Supplying their enemy, whoever or however strong/weak that enemy is, is an act of aggression in the real world. John Kerryland is not the real world.

We all know this instinctively. But we hate the idea of Russia ‘winning’ against us in any way. Well, the option is a Strangelove total commitment.

those are the real world choices. And none of us want that outside a few delusional idiots.
