The most Republican-leaning company in the country, based on political donations, isnt Koch Industries. Its the company that makes Wonder Bread.
The political action committee of Flowers Foods, a Georgia company that produces the pillowy sandwich bread, Tastykakes and Natures Own baked goods, has given more than 99 percent of its political contributions since 1979 to Republicans. Only three Democratic congressional candidates have gotten money from its PAC since 1984, and not one in the past 20 years.

The new president of NPR, Jarl Mohn contributed $217,000 to Democrats.
_____________
Wow. A bribe for the job.
Bump
That is all I am doing, guessing. It does sound possible tho.
Am I the only one getting the point of this piece? They are trying to associate Republicans with a boring, bland, unhealthy, passe, uncool, junky, tacky, tasteless product.
We have Dawn Foods (I worked there some years ago) and Jiffy Mix here in southern Michigan.
Ann Barnhardt mentions this in her post today:
“3. EXTREMELY important point on the IRS being sicced on Tea Party and other conservative donors at TEN TIMES the normal rate.
LISTEN TO ME. Miserable cowards will try to make the argument that if you havent cheated on your taxes or broken any IRS rules, then you should have nothing to worry about.
IT ISNT ABOUT THAT. It is about terrorizing and destroying peoples lives and businesses through malicious audit and/or litigation. BELIEVE ME ON THIS. I KNOW OF WHAT I SPEAK, GOD KNOWS I DO. They know that conservatives are far and away the most likely class of people to have clean books and tax returns. They arent looking for malfeasance. That isnt the point. The point is to run up massive accountant and attorney fees and to terrorize and even break you financially (especially if you own a small business, which is by definition more vulnerable to such tactics than a large business.) A malicious IRS audit or regulatory action or litigation can wipe out months if not YEARS of profit just from the cost of defending yourself. Thus, my advice, coming from experience: DO NOT run up massive bills defending these things. That is exactly what they want. THAT is their real objective. Do the bare minimum. Make their auditors do all of the work, and understand now if you dont already, that the Rule of Law is dead, and no matter how much evidence you put before these people, the fix is in. These are all now complete Kangaroo paradigms. And it will not let up, and it will not end until a counter-revolutionary war has been fought and they are PHYSICALLY removed from power.”

Awesome! I shall be buying more wonderbread.
You can save all the adjectives I suppose and just say “white bread”.
But bread is bread, King’s Hawaiian Sweet Bread anyone?
I once dreamed I got fabulously wealthy and started a charity bread company, every loaf sold meant more could be given to the truly poor. In the dream this bread was called Daily Bread.
Bump
Our Daily Bread actually
This is another attack by the let trying to stifle conservative and Republican funding.
The Koch brothers are #53 on the list of political contributors. The first 52 give to liberal politicians, yet, the left is now out enforce trying to claim the Koch brothers are behind “big money” contributions.
Bingo!!!!!
Will NY Slimes tell me which are the most democrat companies, so I can boycott their products?
The most Democrat company?
All the others. Every last one of them.
If I boycotted every corporation that gives primarily to democrats, I could not eat or drink or wear clothes or buy gas or a car...
Maybe I could buy a gun.
When will Derek Willis do an equally charming story about the company that donates the most to democrats?
I assume we don’t need to hold our breaths...
As an alumna of ITT, which owned the then Continental Baking
as a subsidiary, Flowers has done a wonderful job of growing its brands, especially with a Republican force.
That is a beautiful ad.
For the unions to organize the workers.
