David Dewhurst picked up a pair of big endorsements ahead of the May 27 runoff election for the Republican nomination for Lieutenant Governor.
The endorsements came from former Congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul and also Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson

Jerry Patterson helped GP Bush. Id be happy if Dewhurst and Patterson had stayed in office as a trade to keep Bush out.
Todd Staples said you cant round up all the illegals and Jerry Patterson was for a guest worker plan.
Jerry Patterson said there is defacto amnesty.
Do Hurst is a loser my vote goes to Patrick.
I hope he loses
Because I always wonder.
Early voting period for the primary runoff election.

Primary run-off election
So do I. he’s a schmuck. A Rick Perry backed schmuck.
Dewhurst is worthless. Vote for anybody else.
Nothing will help Dewhurst. He’s done.
“I don’t like Dewhurst but I think I don’t like Dan Patrick even more.”
I don’t let the Houston Chronicle tell me who to vote for, so this vote goes to Patrick.
Paul’s a kook! Paul’s off his meds!
I don’t agree, but I don’t view Patrick as ideal. Nevertheless, Dewhurst is a complete Karl Rove RINO.
I don't agree with everything he supports, but he IS a true conservative.
He has led the fight to reduce property taxes in Texas which are now breaking the back of homeowners. Dan began this fight even before he was in the Texas senate.
Dewhurst personal attacks on Patrick are pretty tacky. Texans want Dewhurst to ride off in the sunset and let some fresh blood step up.
I have decided that I won’t vote for either of them in the primary and then I will vote for whoever is the nominee in the general.
I always let the Houston Comical tell me who to vote for, it will be opposite the one they support. If they are for them then I am against them!
Patrick supported Dewhurst over Tex Cruz. Now he’s running against him. Shows me they’re all frauds.
Well, they SURE AS HECK hate Patrick...so that vote should be much easier than you’re stating, based on your standards.
I said I will vote for “neither one of them in the primary” I don’t like either of them. I “will vote” for the winner of the Republican primary race in the general.
I know that in the general election the Comical will endorse the democrat that is a given. See how that works?
So did Rick Perry. Even so, the Perry faithful continue to sing his praises and tell us what a "solid conservative" he really is.
He needs to go.
I would have liked to see what Ron Paul said about him.
