when folks keep claiming that we "dodged a bullet" by kicking Romney to the curb and giving Obama another 4 years. Don't want to call you names but my head about explodes when folks make statements like yours - there's only about 15,000 reasons why you haven't a clue.

Trebb, you're the one who lacks the clue. :^(

I can say the same about your stupid statement. GOP at all cost eh? That gets you Nixon, Ford, Bushes and Doles/McCains/Romneys that happily will do the bidding of the liberals as they “work across the aisle” in a “bipartisan fashion” to “get things done for the American people.”

Liberal light must be okay for you as long as there is an R next to the name of the a-hole.

Can’t this miserable loser have the decency to shut up and leave the rest of us in peace? Why would he think his opinion is worth anything?

Democracies are basically mob rule.
Because every one has a vote regardless of knowledge of issues or qualifications.
And when the takers figure out they can get more free stuff by voting for the correct politicians, it is the beginning of end of democracies.

There is light at the tunnel however...
Eventually most people realize free stuff socialism is trickle up poverty. And in most cases people revert back to raw capitalism. Examples: China, Former USSR countries including East Germany.

The sad fact is it takes 40 years for the light to appear.

“And this is the choice we had in 2012, no better than the one in 2008.

It exposes just how screwed we really are.”

Actually, I think we also had the same choices in 2000 and 2004. The GOP-Light happened to win over the outright lib choice.

I think those wins by GW foisted Obama upon us.

15,000? Name one.

Valerie Jarret, Eric Holder, a boatload of EOs, GM, a bunch of "Green" companies, how many non-elected commie czars does he have?

It's easy to count ways why Obama is much worse than Romney would have been - how about someone showing how Romney would have been worse than Obama.

Back it up with examples of how Romney would have been worse than the atrocity we have. There's a bunch of you that are really good at saying someone is wrong or misguided, but they have something in common - they never say why they are right by providing real examples.

Thanks for showing your unique ability to pretend to think. How about giving some examples of why Romney would have been worse than the Islamic/Commie/America-=Hating/Fudge-packing disaster we have now.

I already have, countless times on FR. You are asking me to go back and re-do hours of painstaking work. Read articles about Romney and the Green agenda, and discover that he's right up there with Gore, philosophically. YOU do the work, trebb; WE already have.

Here's the deal, clueless trebb. Had Romney won, he would right now, as defacto head of the Republican party, be advancing government run health care, the entire gay agenda, green policies, gays in the military, and virtually every other leftist cause because it is his political philosophy that liberal use of government is needed. Liberal, as in LIBERAL use of seasoning in cooking.

YOU CAN LOOK IT UP -- Romney's record on gay "rights", abortion, global warming, government run health care, activist judges, YOU NAME IT -- all of us here already have, years ago, and we've been posting the links here showing how Romney is straight down the line a functional leftist, for YEARS. Where have you been, trebb?

Unlike you, we recognize that if Romney was in office right now, all of the liberal agendas would be being advanced by him. And YOU, pal, would be wailing and screaming and pounding your fists, so angry because YOU didn't vote for this, you voted "against" Obama! YOU would refuse I know to be ACCOUNTABLE for what you voted FOR.

Wake up.

I am honestly at a loss. I really think at this point in the process RE Romney that the remaining support group has to be either paid GOP/Romney plants or people with genuine mental issues. I can’t document that, yet after all this time, after all the pronouncements this clown has made that come directly, word for word from the Democrats, people on the furthest if Right wing websites insists that he was a better option.

Maybe it’s just masochism. Maybe it’s just attention seeking contrarianism. What it’s not is logical or supportable.

As you pointed out Finny, for YEARS we have hashed and rehashed the countless episodes of liberalism from Romney. For YEARS Jim had a very large list of them posted on the front page.

But none of that documented fact mattered. Fear stepped into the picture and people were suddenly willing to accept liberalism. Christians openly advocated electing and empowering the man that gave his own personal cash and signed legislation to support the vaccu-suck killing of babies.Rock ribbed right wingers embraced the man that advocated gays in the military openly while many Democrats were ‘too timid’ to speak openly those ideas.

All of these and so many more.

I have often posted on these threads where people insist on trying to hide behind the fig leaf of ‘Obama’ to justify their mistake. And I have asked “Can you name a single conservative thing that Mitt Romney ever did?’

In all this time Finny, not one person who screamed at us, threw kick and screaming tantrums, told us to GFY, KMA, FOAD and hurled other colorful acronyms or even posted pics of Yosemite Sam on a Dragon (no idea what sense that made, but it didn’t stop one true believer from doing it often), has ever done it. Maybe he has. But why are we at the point where people have to actually search for it? What in the name of God is wrong with us when we can, with a straight face consider such a person to lead us?

Have these ongoing supporters ever sat down and pondered such a basic and simple thing?

Here we are 2 years from the next fiasco and already the lesser evil crap is ramping up. Not “Lets go elect conservatives”. No “Lets divide down and take what we can get”. Lets further run screaming from the words we spout that obviously we don’t believe. Because if we believed them, we would not be making excuses for failed liberals.

Despicable Romney, as POTUS, would have been an absolute disaster for many reasons and, since he would have been posing and posturing as a "Republican" he would have been worse.

Mittens the Despicable would have:

1. been searching for brainless Snobbican social revolutionaries with law degrees to appoint to every federal judicial position in the land (it was "Republican" POTUSes who appointed John Paul Stevens, William Brennan, Earl Warren, Herod Blackmun, Potter Stewart, Sandra Day O'Connor, Lewis Powell, and most of the trash at lower levels who have been busily cramming baby-killing and "gay""marriage" and "gay" everything else down our throats in courts throughout the land without any shred of "constitutional" excuse);

2. been thus formalizing the permanent "Republican" surrender on these vital social issues, leading to more gummint skewel textbooks teaching the young 'uns of the glories of Heather Has Two Mommies and Daddy's Roommate pr Aunt Maisie is a dog lover in more ways trhat one or whatever next year's trend may be;

3. been spreading the notion of gummint skewel "medical clinics" to take pregnant little Susie off to her abortions without all that messy parental consent or even knowledge;

4. getting the gun grabbing going in earnest, surrendering on yet another vital issue and slicing up the Second Amendment while placing a Republican label on the surrender;

5. seeing to it that the GOP is no longer pro-military. After all, if generations of Romneys could avoid military service in Spanish American War, WW I, WW II, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War I and Gulf War II, and Afghanistan, you could certainly expect Mittens to be just as feckless in American military policy as he has been (along with the rest of his family) in his personal life. As long as invaders leave La Jolla alone, why waste money ($$$ almighty) fighting them;

6. seeing to it that the GOP lives up to the stereotype of being nothing more than a crop of thin-lipped bankers and money obsessives with green eyeshades and sleeve garters who will sell what passes for their souls to protect Muffy's trust fund. Thurston Howell will be the new icon of the GOP replacing that distressingly working class Ronaldus Maximus;

7. proven conclusively unprincipled Mittens the Braindead was responsible for Romneycare in Taxachusetts and then sent his Romneycare technocrats to Obozo to help formulate Obozocare. Mittens was the grandfather of Obozocare and could not use that issue against Obozo;

8. never used against Obozo the fact that Obozo is a spineless wimp or worse on foreign affairs since Romney (anything named Romney) believes that peace at any price is just sensible business. Refused to bring up Benghazi in the debates, did he not?;

9. converted the "GOP" into a party of brain dead polo players, fox hunters (Tally Ho!), tiddly wink players and yachtsmen and thus a a permanent door mat for his Demonrat superiors;

10. caused the nation, and particularly actual Republicans to be in a perpetual state of projectile vomiting at the mention of the word "Republican."

That is just ten reasons to reject Romney or anything vaguely resembling his. More available on request.

I am ashamed to say that I voted for the GOP in the presidential elections of 1968, 1972, 1976, 1988, 1992, 1996, 2008, and 2012. I am not ashamed to have voted for Ronaldus Maximus twice and Dubya twice (close question on Dubya in retrospect). The GOP will only get my vote, at any level and for any office, when it EARNS my vote the old-fashioned way by nominating a suitably hard core conservative candidate. If not, oh well.....! I don't give a crap what the Demonrats nominate and I will not be moved by apocalyptic nonsense and boogey man stories as to the alleged consequences of failing to elect the latest mushball Percival Worthlessness as a "Republican" POTUS.

Yep. It just wasn’t until McCain that I fully grasped it. Then, hindsight over the last few decades was crystal clear.

Mittens is going to try and run again.
And likely the GOP elite will force him down our throats again like they did last time, or force us to have another RINO squish.

OH! bbbbBut there is an excuse for those. The word “Obama”. It’s a talismanic word that causes people to stop thinking and curl up fetally.

It is also a healing word. It absolves you from the sins the GOP, with the help of the speaker, heaps on America. Just say the magic word and facts just disappear. Logic vanishes and feelings become reality.

In short, it creates liberals instantly.

Yeah.
When will people wake up to the fact that we get the candidate that the party bosses will let us have?

I don’t dispute one thing you said, but I will extrapolate from it.

Romney reflects the general views of the Republican nomenklatura. Efforts to displace them -will- prove futile, as time has shown and WILL show resoundingly in 2016. Accordingly, if one will not support the individual Romney, WHY continue to support the hivemind Republican Party whose leadership consensus is indistinguishable from Romney?

The people in question don’t want to wake up. That’s the truth we have to face. They play at being conservative for reasons only they can explain. But when the rubber hits the road, they want Romney and his type. They are perfectly happy with it and they even say on FR they would vote for him again.

A person cannot serve two masters. Nor can a website. We believe in something or something else. Binary.
