The people in question don’t want to wake up. That’s the truth we have to face. They play at being conservative for reasons only they can explain. But when the rubber hits the road, they want Romney and his type. They are perfectly happy with it and they even say on FR they would vote for him again.

A person cannot serve two masters. Nor can a website. We believe in something or something else. Binary.

I think it is more accurate to say that a diminishing number of conservatives are willing to accept the Romneys, McCains, Doles, etc. as the lesser of two evils. An increasing number of us see such trash as the GREATER of two evils since we NEED a principled political party to achieve policy goals. Our GOP-E opponents feel a NEED to get contracts, jobs, personal power, status, invitations to swell cocktail parties on Capitol Hill, cushy retirement gigs on K Street, etc. They want everything that most of the public despises them for.
