But it turns out that in the actual email, Rhodes did not mention the State Department.
It read: "We need to resolve this in a way that respects all of the relevant equities, particularly the investigation."
Republicans also provided what they said was a quote from an email written by State Department spokesman Victoria Nuland.
The Republican version quotes Nuland discussing, "The penultimate point is a paragraph talking about all the previous warnings provided by the Agency (CIA) about al-Qaeda's presence and activities of al-Qaeda."

Using MS Outlook (not the Express or other versions) all it takes is to open the email on your system, click Edit on the menu, edit the email and Save it. Except for the change in the Edit Date, no one would know you made changes to the original email you received. Especially since there is no track record they can access. I used to use this to clean up poorly worded emails from “educated” senders so I could know what they “really” said later when going back to review a request made.
I have no doubt someone in the current administration knows all about how to do this and liberally does so (pun intended). So, I am not at all surprised the email copies received are not the ones known to have useful evidence, but instead have innocent seeming texts. One has to request the raw email downloads, not those being sent upon request.
WH had some visitors on Bengauzi night. Lets see if anyone recognizes the names or if we can compile any information about them!

I have other articles saved from May 16th of last year and this one doesn’t jive. The emails they refer to here were released on May 15th, which was on a Wed. On Friday? When May 16th last year was on a Thursday?
And none of them mention any contradictions regarding what Rhodes’ emails stated.
I missed this article last year and I probably missed others. But my pea brain doesn’t recall this contradiction coming up last year. That’s why when I noticed this was from last year, it struck me as odd.
Things that make ya go, “Hmmmmmmmm.”
A lot of the names listed for 8:30pm are of muslim (especially Pakistani) sports figures.
Here’s a scenario: WH and Hillary were so consumed with the “video riots” in countries other than Libya that they immediately misconstrued and ignored detail of what was occurring in Benghazi. Everything points to Obama and Hillary being panicked by those riots (remember the panic purchase of Pakistani TV time to personally grovel and beg the Pak muslims not to riot) and fearful that the “Arab Spring” mantra was going to blow up, so they blanketed the middle east with over-wrought apologies and egg-shell-stepping, hoping the failure of the Cairo Initiative would fade away.
Then, embarrassed about having started down the Road of Security Incompetence, they had a very hard time disengaging from their talking points and began to lie. And lie and lie some more. And stonewall.
