Retiring Reps. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) and Dave Camp (R-Mich.) may back Rep. Justin Amash's (R-Mich.) primary opponent, and none of the rest of the Michigan delegation is supporting Amash, according to the Detroit News.
Rogers, a longtime Amash foe, told the paper that he's "likely" to support businessman Brian Ellis, while Camp said he was also open to backing Ellis in the race.

I would too but I’m not in his district.
Where’s all the preaching now about how we are all on the same team. If guys like Amash get booted from the party, this party is no longer for me. I think the GOP has a death wish right now.
Whigs < GOP < ??
Amash could be better but he could also be Fred Upton.
The GOPe is also pushing a hand picked candidate against Kerry Bentivolio.
Where's all that preaching from the "Tea Party" activists about how "we've had enough career politicians, its time for him to go or be pushed" and "No incumbent is entitled to a third term" and "He talks a good game at election time but he reaches across the aisle to vote with his Democrat pals, and his voting record has been trending downward. We can do better"?
They've sure been LOUDLY preaching that stuff against other incumbent Republicans (Enzi, Roberts, etc.) who are far MORE conservative than Amash has ever been. Yet apparently all their preaching about how all Washington incumbents are evil and NEED to be challenged goes out the window if it's some nutty Paulbot who talks a good game how he's anti-establishment our savior. Funny how it works that way.

Amash votes with Nancy Pelosi more than any other Michigan Republican, and will claim he "had to" support the RATs on far-left stuff like abortion for gender selection, opposing the keystone pipeline, etc., for "constitutional" reasons. If you actually agree with his votes and think all Republicans should follow his lead, I'd say the GOP was never for you. If I wanted guys who voted like Amash, I'd just vote for the official RAT than the unofficial one who makes up BS excuses for his liberal record.
Amash’s votes on life issues disqualifies himself from getting my support. No excuses.
No, he does not.
YES, he does. His voting record speaks for itself:

If a bill is too RINO establishment, Pelosi and Amash may be inclined to vote no for different reasons
Im sure Broun has taken some “liberal” votes.
“YES, he does. His voting record speaks for itself:”

You need to be a bit more discerning. Don’t allow yourself to be fooled by misinformation. I opened up the first of your links and then checked on what “Wink Progress” is. The following are the first words at the homepage at its site:
“WinkProgress is an informal collective of online personalities dedicated to bringing you political news and insights with a wink and a laugh. We are liberal, and we have an agenda. We are the vast, left-wing comedy conspiracy. We will bring you all the information you need to know.”
Speak for yourself. Does it bother you at ALL that "true conservative" Justin Amash voted with the Dems to allow abortion for gender selection, or are you drinking his kool-aid that the U.S. Constitution contains some "federal officials must allow abortion for gender selection" clause that only wise constitutional scholars like him know about?
It is a fact that Amash has voted with the Dems on numerous high profile bills. You can make excuses why he did, but that won't change the fact that the Ron Paul worshipper's record is in step with Pelosi far more than mainstream conservatives like Ted Cruz.
Do you have any evidence Brian Ellis will be "a Boehner bootlicker" aside from the fact Amash and his fan club say so? I have plenty of evidence that Amash is a Ron Paul booklicker, by the way. I suppose that's fine for the "zionists caused 9/11" crowd, but not for actual conservatives.
I'd stick with Justin Amash myself, but this star of "The President Goes to Heaven" needs to go.
Well if that's true I retract my statement above - he needs to go as well.
Fortunately you don’t get a vote in that race and your ignorance won’t be doing any damage.
Kerry Bentivolio is probably one of the staunchest tea party congressmen in washington. The guy read a few lines in some idiot’s movie to get himself comfortable in front of the camera.
Leave the low info voting to the left.
“Speak for yourself. Does it bother you at ALL that “true conservative” Justin Amash...”

Lighten up Francis. I have not claimed that Justin Amash is a “true conservative” since I have no idea of his stands on various issues. But what I did do was to suggest that your use of leftist websites to denigrate a Republican congressman is not the wisest course of action—particularly in a thread discussing an article pointing out that two outgoing RINOs are against him.
Oh baloney - what a blind follower you are.
Mine your own races.
At least you’re in the state unlike these other clowns. LOL
