Reboot in San Francisco this summer with young Republicans.
Startup employees Aaron Ginn, 26 -- a former Mitt Romney campaign worker -- and Garrett Johnson, 29, are looking to do what Democrats have done for almost a decade: connect conservative and libertarian "technologists" with old-school political campaigns with like minds.
There just isn't enough opportunity in Silicon Valley.
For a dyed-in-the-wool, true-red conservative.
So, a pair of Silicon Valley denizens with right-wing politics are planning their answer to Netroots Nation, according to the Huffington Post.
Startup employees Aaron Ginn, 26 -- a former Mitt Romney campaign worker -- and Garrett Johnson, 29, are looking to do what Democrats have done for almost a decade: connect conservative and libertarian "technologists" with old-school political campaigns with like minds.
Their organization, Lincoln Labs, is hosting a three-day conference in San Francisco this summer called Reboot, the HuffPo reported.
At the San Francisco offices of Causes, a fundraising and organizing platform co-founded by Napster maven Sean Parker, they'll put on a hackathon and generally make the same kind of tech connections liberals appear to have been doing for years -- ages in the tech world.
Reboot is scheduled for July 18 to July 20 in San Francisco.
It’s about time.
IN SF? Nyyaaaaa..
but Good Luck!
FUBO would be a better name for the conference.
I know for a fact that there isn’t a single right winger in Silicon Valley.
Defining conservative downward. First, a conservative ‘out’ in that place would be unemployed the next day. Second, the word should not be used in proximity of ‘former Romney campaign workers’ trying to start groups.
I met one .. once,, but he died. *-o..
“Right wingers”
We’re this a leftist group, it’d be referred to as “progressive.”
It is a leftist group. It is doing it’s job of changing the definition of words.
in sillycon valet?
today?
I’m embedded. not sure about ccc these days.
Sounds like Zuckerberg’s front groups.
I consider the headline a dig (I know you didn’t write it). Just seems off-putting.
Hey! I’m here, and debugging silicon at this very moment!!
I’m still here. :-)
Hey CCC!
Does he mean some republicans?
He sure uses inflammatory and radical language just because they are from the other party from his own.
Hey, in his original version it said,”racists,” instead of “right-wingers.”
‘Sup, dude? ;-)
I’m here!
