The news for Democrats, already bad this year, just got worse. Consider this story in the USA Today:
A nationwide USA TODAY/Pew Research Center Poll shows the strongest tilt to Republican candidates at this point in a midterm year in at least two decades, including before partisan waves in 1994 and 2010 that swept the GOP into power.
Though Election Day is six months away a lifetime in politics at the moment, Democrats are saddled by angst over the economy, skepticism about the health care law and tepid approval of the president.
The specific data point worth focusing on is that registered voters favor a generic Republican over a generic Democrat by four points (47 percent v. 43 percent).
As USA Today points out, [The GOP] lead in the generic congressional ballot is the biggest at this point for Republicans in the past 20 years. In 1994, when the GOP would gain control of the House and Senate, Democrats held a 2-point advantage in the spring of the election year. In 2010, when Republicans would win back the House, the two sides were even.

A rather nice summation, that. I also suspect the country has grown massively tired of the incessant race-baiting. A lot could have been forgiven had 0bama not deliberately divided the country into warring factions. Nothing will be forgiven now.
No one will dare speak out, PC and Politics you know. But I overheard a Mom the other day. One successful kid, the other 30 living @ home, crappy job, trying to figure out how to start a business, feeling like crap that their sibling has succeed and they didn't. It is not that they are a bad kid. However, I don't think people are seeing the simple rungs on the ladder that got them out of the basement are now gone, it is so hard to get ahead with the new headwinds that have been blowing at us since 1/21/2008, you can name them all. When do these folks struggling put 2 and 2 together as to the cause and effect of all this and how to reverse it potentially in the voter booth starting in Nov-14'....
I don’t think Obama is a lunkhead. I think he is a cunning, soul-less, depraved, America-hating Muslim-supporting turncoat who is doing EVERYTHING he can to destroy this nation before November 2016.
I don’t think a declaration of Martial Law and a “postponement” (cancellation) of the 2016 elections and declaring himself pResident for life is beyond the realm of possibility.
And he has a Senate majority that will follow him to hell if they think they can retain power. Other than that I don’t have an opinion.
obozo went full Libtard; never go full Libtard.
He’ll just become the Undead Zombie President for another 24 months.
Much too slowly.
Be very cautious of dying leaders, -that’s when they are the most dangerous. Barrack Houssain bin Obama is the same as North Korea’s Kim Jong and according to a post above, even China doesn’t trust him.
But over the past year, polling data has begun to suggest that Bush is no longer quite the liability he once was for the GOP, and that most Americans no longer see the current economy as something Obama inherited.
If the GOP had any concept of public relations, George W. Bush would have been on a “motivational” public speaking tour for the past six months and it would have lasted through the election. This tour would not have been associated at all with the Republican Party and it would have had a non-partisan positive message about rebuilding America through less regulation, better education, family values, encouraging small business and entrepreneurs, American exceptionalism and patriotism, etc. He’d have been speaking to chambers of commerces, county fairs, and other places where the public could hear him speak and local media would cover. The purpose would be to rehabilitate his public image by letting the American people see him as a decent human being who cares about them and the country.
Call this tour the “American Heros Tour”. Take along some real present day American heroes to give short speeches with him — injured veterans of recent wars, entrepreneurs who sacrificed and created businesses that employed hundreds or thousands, teachers, successful legal immigrants, and select religious leaders. Talk about the good in America, people are tired of hearing only bad. Demonstrate to the audience that the USA is a good nation with good people.
Let the people see Bush as a decent, warm, human being instead of the image defined by the media would go long way. By rehabilitating his image, Bush would take one of the political millstones off the neck of every Republican candidate, thereby neutralizing a key weapon (Bush bashing) in the Democrat attack machine.
Unfortunately the GOP has no viable communication strategy.
thanks for the heads up. in 2010 the irs reopened a case from 2002 n 2004. i just paid them 55k to take the lien off my house.
yes i have walked the talk.
we live in a different world now.
some will cower. i will not.
I don’t think his presidency was ever alive. It was always smoke and mirrors supported by a partisan media.
“I dont think a declaration of Martial Law and a postponement (cancellation) of the 2016 elections and declaring himself pResident for life is beyond the realm of possibility.”
He doesn’t even need to do that; if the propaganda campaign is ratcheted up the way it was for 2012 then Dems have nothing to fear.
FU Barack
Imagine what those numbers would be like if the GOP was more Reaganistic, and less the party of dynasties, cronies, and senators for life. I wouldn't take a GOP victory for granted these days.
“SOCIALISM IS A FAILURE”
Unless you’re one of the people getting paid from it. It is a failure for those pulling the cart, not the passengers. That is why Obama was re-elected; the takers outnumber the makers...
Gee Whizz!! The pubs better get their shiite together and reverse this.
FU SECRET SERVICE!! Signed, John Boehner (you a’holes.)
Really, really stupid title; libs and the regime will go after Freepers for stuff like that; please use better selection of words next time. Yes, I understand what you mean, but you are a freeper and we protect each other that’s why I’m calling you out.
Posting on my FB page. Hope you don’t mind.
