Full Title: Texas Judge Lets Rapist Off With A Light Sentence After Suggesting The Victim, 14, Had Brought Attack On Herself
How is it that judges feel that its acceptable to allow rapists to get off scot free? A judge in Texas had the option of sentencing a rapist, who confessed to the crime, of up to 20 years in prison instead, she sentenced him to 45 days, and blamed the victim for the crime.

A Texas judge has sparked national outrage after implying a 14-year-old rape victim was promiscuous and was not the victim she claimed to be.
State District Judge Jeanine Howard this week stunned the court by sentencing self-confessed rapist, Sir Young, to a mild 45-day prison term and five year probation, instead of the maximum 20-year jail stint.
Young, 20, pleaded guilty to raping the girl at Booker T. Washington High School, Dallas, in 2011 when he was 18, even as she cried out no and stop.
While Young will be labeled a sex offender for life, Howard exempted him from standard sex offender restrictions: he doesnt have to stay away from children, attend sex offender treatment, undergo a sex offender evaluation or refrain from watching pornography.
Howard accused the victim of having sex with other men before the rape, as well as being pregnant at one time, all of which the victim categorically denies. But even if those things were true, it still doesnt give the judge the right to sentence a rapist to such an offensively light sentence. Its situations like these that make victims so reluctant to come forward Judge Howard should be ashamed of herself.

Is a sarcasm tag even necessary here?
Her honor should remember that what goes around comes around
45 days of contemplation followed by a scaffold drop would have been acceptable.

C’mon man...why is everyone getting so serious.
You know damn good and well that this is exactly what obama and holder would want...If obama had a son, he would be like...
Unfortunately it wouldn’t apply here but I think sex offenders should be placed next to the judges that were soft on them when they are freed.

She wasnt the victim she claimed to be."
A Texas judge used those words to justify the lighter-than-light sentence she gave
to a rapist, telling the Dallas Morning News that the 14-year-old victim had three
previous sexual partners and had given birth before the sexual assault.

When Rodriguez described what happened and asked Young if that was rape, he replied:
Thats rape. I hate to have that on my plate. But thats rape.
Memorize the judge’s name for election time. Judge Jeanine Howard should be voted out of office for the rest of her life. She is an absolute disgrace. When is a man justified in forcing himself on any woman? A real man does not do that under any circumstances. Remember, remember the name Jeanine Howard and delibertly vote against her.
Judge in controversial rape case recuses herself
A Dallas County judge under fire for giving the rapist of a 14-year-old girl probation
and then tossing the common restrictions given to sex offenders recused herself
from the case Friday.
State District Judge Jeanine Howard declined to comment about the case beyond
comments she made to The Dallas Morning News on Thursday night, which included her
saying that the girl wasnt the victim she claimed to be.
The Dallas County district attorneys office wants the new judge assigned to the case
state District Judge Carter Thompson to alter the terms of probation for Sir Young
to be more restrictive. Thompson could deny the request, change the conditions or
hold a hearing about whether there should be changes. No decision had been made Friday.
