I can agree with that. "The Gunner's Dream" is my favorite from that album, too.
If anyone thinks that having a father is unimportant, just look at Roger. He's going to go to his grave with unresolved issues.

I love Pink Floyd but Waters is just a prick.I think that the vast majority of PF fans would agree.

That’s a good point. I happen to think Roger is a complete jerk — but in fairness, the Nazis killed his father right after Roger was born, and he’s just never gotten over that. It’s very sad.

I don’t count Final Cut as true Floyd album I hear that Roger wasn’t really get long with David Gilmour to the end

I can’t listen. I heard a few seconds of that music and it gave me a headache.

Maybe it’s one of those ‘of the times’ things with the Reagan/Soviet things in the news at the time. I was never a huge Floyd fan to begin with, but back then, Final Cut, when I heard it (mid-late 80s) just clicked for me.
If I were to have heard it on release, I doubt it would have made any impact on me at all. Their early stuff I never liked at all. and The Wall was an interesting movie soundtrack. Darkside had it’s moments but is more a technical curiosity for me as a hobbyist musician since it regularly is referenced as one of the best recorded/engineered albums.

Hey Waters!
All in all you’re just another brick in the wall.

I divested my Pink Floyd recordings decades ago. They are not missed.

Sigh, I used to be such a huge fan of Pink Floyd .... lost complete respect for the band interjecting themselves in Politics.
And I thought Metallica was bad for the whole Napster thing......

The Rolling Stones replied...
(It is rumored that the Rolling Stones also have a song titled "On With The Show", although that one may be just a tad off-topic...)
