I agree with your overview, but IMO this is corporatist oppression rather than socialist. Not that it makes much difference, as the path may vary but the end objective is for the elite to live well at the expense of powerless serfs.

I remember reading James Burnham's "Suicide of the West" back ages ago when I was in high school. I thought it was over the top and too depressing. Sadly, Burnham was correct. This is an example of a self-hating paragon of post-Christian Western Civilization, a dead zone. They control the high points of culture in the West today.

A backlash is building. The correction is long overdue and I don't know why it's taken so long, but I think we're in for cultural wars within the West. Mass immigration of unassimilatable peoples is stoking the fire. No go zones in Sweden, France, Holland, Belgium and the UK haven't made an impression on this Swede.
