FULL TITLE-'Dude, This Was Like Two Years Ago': Bret Baier Grills Former White House Spox on Benghazi Coverup
Thursday on Fox News "Special Report," host Bret Baier grilled Tommy Vietor, the former NSC Spokesman at the time of the 2012 Benghazi terror attacks, about his role in changing the talking points that then U.N. ambassador Susan Rice used on the Sunday talk shows following the attacks. Baier used video clips of the tesimony of Former Deputy CIA Director Michael Morell and the US Africom Intelligence Director at the time Ret Air Force Brigadier General Robert Lovell to corner Vietor into admitting they got the "peaceful protest gone awry" "dead wrong". When Baier asked Vietor if he changed the word "attack" in the talking points Vietor said "Dude, this is like two years ago"

If memory serves me it took about two years for Watergate to drive tricky dick from office.

From now on, the answer is "NO! It is not two years ago! It is unfolding NOW! This will be addressed and prosecuted NOW!"

In my experience, two years is at the outer-limits of the historical memory of these Millenial-types.

And Watergate was about breaking and entering, stealing documents with the cover-up thrown in for good measure but Benghazi ended in people killed and the President and on down knownly lying about it just to get this asshole reelected.

Time-line of Democrat failure and felonies:
1. Deny everything
2. Stonewall investigation
3. Claim revelations are old news

You’re correct, but there was a tsunami wave of anti-Nixon reporting in the media. And that was an era when the big 3 tv networks, NYT, WaPo, Time, Newsweak, etc really had a lot of influence.
In this case there’s a tidal wave of media adoration for Caliph Baraq and Moose and intense reporting on the Kim Kardashian/Kanye West wedding plans.

This has always been a major strategy for the cabal of the left. Keep dem mistakes out of the news until it is too old to talk about. In the meantime, find creative ways to paint the pubs as doing the same thing. And the RNC rolls over.. I wouldn't be surprised if we start hearing RINOs saying that we need to move on as these events are so old.
To: Cheerio
Does that mean no one is supposed to expect he’d remember after two years... or that, since it has BEEN two years... we ought to forget about it ourselves??!!

It took the entire press corps to force the issue. That’s not going to happen to Obama.

So I guess this sets the precedent for the next administration. When there’s a scandal, just stone wall for a couple of years and when people bring it up just say, “It’s been two years, what difference does it make? Let it go!!!”

Compared to the Clinton and Obama regimes, Nixon’s Watergate was the equivalent of lighting a bag of sh!t on fire at someone’s doorstep. Really!

As I watched little Tommy call Brett Baer, 'Dude', while squirming his way out of an uncomfortable line of questioning - one that was clearly causing him to have to lie - it was apparent the fact that Americans were killed during this horrific attack is completely lost on this kid. In true liberal hypocrisy, little Tommy derides Issa and the republicans over the political aspect of their criticism of the Obama administration's handling of Benghzai while simultaneously downplaying the deaths caused by the Obama administration's mishandling of Benghazi - for political purposes.
For this reason, please allow me to throw my hat in the ring to be next in line, after the families of those that were murdered in Benghazi, to bitch-slap little Tommy back to his childhood.
