Has the Benghazi "smoking gun" been found? Some White House critics believe that new documents wrestled from the White House by Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group, prove that the Obama administration concocted a cover-up: Political advisers pushed a false story that the murder of four Americans grew out of a protest against an anti-Islamic video in order to hide a policy failure that might hurt the president in an election year. The documents clearly show that the White House pushed the video story, but there's also proof that the White House believed the story they were pushing.

It may now be laughable for anyone to suggest that the Libyan attack was spontaneous, but that's a question for the CIA, which made spontaneity its first and most durable claim that weekend. An intelligence failure is a different thing than a lie, and it should lead to a different set of questions about the underlying policy and skills of administration officials to accurately understand the world. You could also ask whether it's possible to make good policy when engaged in one-foot-in and one-foot-out operations like the U.S. attack on Libya. But those are policy questions, not cover-up questions.

...Sharyl Attkisson, a former CBS News investigative reporter, about the Benghazi disclosure and Rhodes brothers. Attkisson revealed that she sought the same Ben Rhodes document that Judicial Watch eventually obtained. CBS News, however, would not take the matter to court.
“CBS wasn’t willing to file a [Freedom of Information Act] lawsuit when I was there to try to get some of these documents,” Attkisson explained
A bit O/T, but I predict that Carney will end up at CBS, if Rhodes is still there.

The fact is, yesterday’s revelation was something most of us already knew. No surprise, but important to now have it so clearly documented.
The Obama White House was the entity that told Rice to go out and lie, and to ensure that they did not emphasize in the least a failure of the Obama Administration or State Department in not protecting the US Ambassador or this nations true interests.
Obama did this for two reasons:
1) He was trying to get re-elected on the miserably failed and untruthful premise that he had defeated Al Queda and terrorism. They could not allow the truth of n Al QUeda linked terror attack to be published and talked about during the campaign. As with Obama Care, his promises and words were lies and his election was a complete fruad.
2) Becauser the truth behind why the attack occurred by those terrorists in Benghazi was ALL wrapped up in an illegal, treacherous, and traitorus arms running scheme involving terrorists. The Obama adminstration was helping arm Al Queda operatives in the war in Syria and doing it from stockpiles in Libya. And he was using the Muslim Brotherhood to make it happen...the same guys he supported in Egypt, who are now being jailed and executed by the Egyptian people.
That’s the ugly truth and when that deal went bad, the tangos attacked and killed the Ambassador and wanted to kill everyone there and over at the Annex. But a few brave American fought back and prevented that.
Obama, and all of the people direclty involved in this, including Hillary, need to all be removed from whatever office forthwith and then criminally tried for thier parts in the Benghazi coverup and brought to Justice. They need to go to prison for a long, long time.
That’s the truth, and what ought to happen.

Yes, they have done this all along even though the CIA did NOT come up with the video idea.
And though Carney said over and over again a year ago that he White House had NOTHING to do with the talking points we can now see this was a blatant lie.
This memo had been withheld from information that had been requested by Republican congressmen in May.
There is NOTHING in this memo that contains sensitive information.
This is clear evidence of obstruction by the White House. And there is nothing that CBS can make-up to cover that aspect of the issue.

There are no words that excuse the killing of innocents. There is no video that justifies an attack on an Embassy. There is no slander that provides an excuse for people to burn a restaurant in Lebanon, or destroy a school in Tunis, or cause death and destruction in Pakistan.
