The mainstream media is playing up the tragedy of Clayton Locketts botched execution....
This is Stephanie Neiman. Clayton Lockett murdered her over her truck. He laughed as he killed her.

I think they should show the video of this execution to every death row prisoner - and every felon.
“The constitutional prohibition is against CRUEL punishment”
Actually the constitutional prohibition is again cruel AND unusual. No creative ideas on how to painfully kill the perp. Death by hangings and firing squads were permitted as customary ways to execute perps, regardless of the so-called cruelty.
As far as I am concerned, the perp can die by the same method he or she used on the victim since that is proof the method isn’t unusual, but that would carry it too far. Nevertheless, we have seriously strayed from the civic responsibility to reaffirm the value of human life by demonstrating what happens when one unjustly deprives another of that life. Perps should fear their own date with death.
If they want a quick, inexpensive, and very sure way then the guillotine should work every time. Just be sure the blade is sharpened and the tracks are properly greased.
The perp:
So he died a little later. It still worked.
I think the media grabbed onto this story to keep our mind off of the real news they don’t want us to know about...economy, failed foreign policy, scandals, government overreach, failures of our leadership...
What the Left is going after here is to shut off the supply of drugs that can be used to carry out executions.
First they convinced big pharma companies that had always sold states the drugs to refuse to supply them for this purpose.
Then they started going after compounding pharmacies and small players who were providing them. The goal is to scare any potential source away from providing these drugs for execution.
If and when they succeed, the death penalty will be finished as practical matter, because they’ll be no way to carry it out.
Unless they want to return to firing squads and electric chairs. Frankly I doubt they have the guts.
Barack Obama Sides With Murderer Who Tortured and Buried Alive a Young Girl
The only complaint I have about the execution is that it was 12 or 13 years later than it should have been.
I can only hope he suffered.
I doubt they have the guts either but the firing squad and hangman’s noose are not unconstitutional. Frankly I wouldn’t be surprised to see the death penalty get caught up in a major backlash by normal America against the heavy hand of government and its favored special interest groups. From eminent domain to federal ownership of land to unbalanced environmental regulations to gun grabbers to social justice and affirmative action to punishing the producers, there may actually come a point where the critical mass is reached when revolution becomes possible. In that case, I could see the death penalty revisited and reinstated by the simplest means possible.
A single .38 hollowpoint to the brain pan.
100% effective. Low cost and quick.
Id even donate a box of 158gr HPs to help defray the cost.
“Everybody gets excited about the big guns. Me, I like the point two-two.
Goes in the skull, bounces around. Turns the brain to soup.”
And eco-friendly since the rope can be used more than once.
I’ve sadly been to my share of slaughter houses.
Very messy way to kill something.
A “botched” execution? The monster died. Mission accomplished.
Bring back hanging, it is quick and uses safe, natural organic fibers instead of dangerous chemicals.
