Director Spike Lee compares Donald Sterling to a slave master following the Los Angeles Clippers owner’s alleged racist comments.
“He’s got to go because he’s tainting all the other 29 partners, he’s tainting the league and he’s tainting America,” Lee told CNN Monday. “And when you hear something like that, that is a mentality of a slave master. He sees his players as slaves.”
Sterling has come under fire for audio recordings obtained by TMZ and Deadspin where he allegedly tells his girlfriend, V. Stiviano, that it bothers him that she associates herself with black people.
Lee said that during All-Star weekend in Los Angeles in 2011, Sterling told him that NBA players wouldn’t have jobs if they didn’t play basketball.

But he has a right to be a racist, whatever it costs him personally.
Being a racist does not violate any law. Unlawful racist conduct violates certain laws. As far as I can see Sterling has committed no crime.
I say that the constitution requires these mandigo guys to back off and take their defamatory black nationalism elsewhere, and let the NBA league commission handle it.

Ahh, further proof that America is the greatest nation in the history of the world. Just take a look at our “slaves”.
According to the esteemed Mr. Spike, pardon me, Mr. Lee, our nation’s “slaves” on the NBA plantation make more money in a year than “free” middle-class families are likely to make in their entire lifetimes. That’s even more remarkable than our nation’s poor dying from obesity - when you can claim that your slaves live better, make more money, have more women, and enjoy more freedom than the kings of old then your nation certainly must be some kind of paradise.
Lee’s abuse of the English language, to say nothing of his shamelessly idiotic racist posturing, does a great disservice to both modern Americans as well as anyone throughout the whole of world history that may have legitimately been called a “slave”. I’d like to see a day when race-baiting pieces of filth like Mr. Lee are laughed at by the majority like they should be in any sane nation.
