There's still no word on the identity of a 26-year-old man who may have met his doom inside of a dough mixing machine.
Sunday afternoon, Houston police responded to a call of a dead body found inside of an industrial mixer at the Houston branch of the Wonton Food company. They're the leading makers of those fortune cookies you get at Asian food places. Wonton, which has a huge factory in New York and others around the country, is actually known as one of the leading providers of fortune cookies around the world. It also makes other Asian food under the Golden Bowl brand.
We're still waiting for the the Harris County forensics lab to verity the man's identity.
"The victim, an employee of the Wonton Food Corporation at [2902 Caroline Street], was operating an industrial dough mixer. A fellow employee found the man deceased in the machine," police said in a statement.

There’s great wisdom to be found in fortune cookies - the last fortune I received said “Blessed are the children for they shall inherit the national debt”.....

“Im always a fan of the cookies that have the lotto numbers printed on the back”
Recently some little old lady hit a mega lotto (well, it had a big prize, I’m not saying that was the name of it) and she had played the numbers from a fortune cookie fortune.

Many years ago our company showed us photos of a man who had been caught in the drive shaft of a large air fan. It was not pretty. My favorite warning sign: Do not look into LASDE with remaining eye!
