Donald Sterling won't go quietly. Never has before. So even as praise rolls in for NBA commissioner Adam Silver's forceful decision, the first real test of his leadership may just be beginning...
No owners said publicly they wouldn't support the decision, even Mavericks owner Mark Cuban who said Tuesday he agrees with the commissioner 100 percent.
A day earlier, however, Cuban — while criticizing Sterling's comments as "obviously bigoted, obviously racist" — called it "damn scary" that a precedent could be set.
"Regardless of your background, regardless of the history they have, if we're taking something somebody said in their home and we're trying to turn it into something that leads to you being forced to divest property in any way, shape or form, that's not the United States of America," Cuban said. "I don't want to be part of that." ...

Of course..everyone knows what Magic is, supposedly got AIDS from Isiah Thomas(Wouldn’t be surprised) I would love for someone to tape record what is being said in NBA locker rooms..I can imagine words like “Cracker” “White Devil” and other garbage is spewed by these players every single day
He was in a tough spot. They are in the playoffs and players were going to boycott. Perhaps he figures it's better to deal with a lawsuit from Sterling during the offseason, rather than dealing with racist players now.
He has very nice shaped eyebrows wonder how often he gets them waxed.
It seems like Cuban understands that there is a bigger issue.

Someone pointed this out to me earlier(Since I have not heard the whole interview) but the little gold digger mentions Larry Bird..and if Sterling would mind her bringing him to the games..she would have been what, 8 years old at the time Larry Bird was playing..tell me, how does an 8 year old kid know who Larry Bird was and what he did in the game of basketball..someone told her to say that, to egg Sterling on(He probably suffers from some sort of dementia he sure sounds like it) and it worked..she pressed all his buttons and got him to yap for hours, question is, who paid her to do this in the first place..*Cough* Magic Johnson *Cough*

A lawsuit might be the least of Silver’s troubles.
The NBA is two clicks away from the WWE. An obviously fixed entertainment featuring tall black men pretending to be overloaded with testosterone. And with commentary by folks with an average IQ of about 70. Its unwatchable.

Not trying to hijack this thread. ...I do find the whole thing about Sterling, the Clippers, the racists and the NBA to be waaaay over the top and the news media is riding the wave.
Sterling’s personal beliefs may be abhorrent to many people, but I believe he’s being ‘crucified’ because of the obnoxious politically correct attitude that permeates our schools, politics and media today.

Agree. Seems strange that the woman posted pics of herself with Magic, taped the private talk with Sterling and said respectful things about Magic, .....then released the tape to the media.
I don’t watch NBA games unless my team makes the playoffs, at which times I will check in by channel change now and then. A game that sometimes requires about 30 minutes to play the last 5 minutes of regulation time is ridiculous. If the NBA wants more viewers and respect, they should eliminate the excessive number of time-outs allowed each team. ...Give each team two each quarter and no carry over.

During the same talk, that it seems the media doesn’t want to air, he was saying ...what if the owner is homophobic or anti-semetic, et al. Cuban’s comments were targeted at ‘where do we stop’, once we start forcing owners to sell because some faction of the population is “faux offended”, but not otherwise harmed.
That last sentence is my interpretation, not Cuban’s words.
