A federal judge in Milwaukee has struck down Wisconsin's voter Identification law, saying it unfairly burdens poor and minority voters.
U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman issued his long-awaited decision Tuesday. It invalidates Wisconsin's law.
Wisconsin's law would have required voters to show a state-issued photo ID at the polls. Supporters said it would cut down on voter fraud and boost public confidence in the integrity of the election process.
But Adelman sided with opponents, who said it disproportionately excluded poor and minority voters because they're less likely to have photo IDs or the documents needed to get them.
Wisconsin's law was only in effect for a 2012 primary before a Dane County judge declared it unconstitutional.

I have become convinced that the opposition to voter ID laws is actually people trying to stay off of the “grid”. Once they get positively ID’d, then that ID can be crosschecked (at least they think it will be) with other government IDs. Suddenly, the checks they have been getting from the government will now stop because they aren’t who they say they are.
they will whip out ID for welfare and EBT cards faster than a switchblade....but to vote....not necessary because it might jeopardize them

I believe he’s a Federal Court judge. Last time I was at the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, I had to show ID.
Gee, I thought the Constitution said STATES were in charge of their own elections. Is Wisconsin denying someone the right to vote based on their status of servitude? No?
Impeach and remove this judge.

Au contraire. Your minority voter ... especially those of the Latino persuasion ... are more apt to have multiple photo IDs in a variety of names.

Looking at the bigger picture, do we live in a republic if unelected blackrobes write, rewrite the constitution and congressional, state laws at their whim?
The modern purpose of congress isn't to craft laws on our behalf, but rather to rubber-stamp regulations and nominations from the executive branch.
Elections are increasingly courtesies extended to a dimwitted public, so as to make us think we live in a free nation.

Does the GOP understand that this is about political annihilation? Burden the poor and minority voter! On what grounds, where’s the proof?
This judge should be impeached and removed.
