Mark Cuban, who I always haven’t been the biggest fan of, nailed it....

“I think you’ve got to be very, very careful when you start making blanket statements about what people say and think, as opposed to what they do. It’s a very, very slippery slope.”

Those who think Sterling is just going to roll over for them are in for a rude surprise. The dude’s 80 YO, is worth billions, and the ego to go with all that cash.

Cuban is first and foremost a businessman, and a practical one at that. He doesn’t want the door to even be cracked open a smidgen on this, as maybe someday the other owners would tire of his controversy and antics and try to force him out as well.

So no, they can’t force a man to divest owning a professional sports franchise. But they can and do have a right to condemn Sterling’s words and not want to be associated with him. There are other ways to make Sterling’s continued ownership tenure untenable, as the sponsors leave, the fans cancel season tickets, and no players will want to play for the Clips while he still runs them. He has a right to own his team and hold his beliefs, but others have the right to say “I’m not setting one foot through that team’s front door”.

Yes, I am the same way - Cuban is a big ego, but man when he said that I thought “Wow, how come our politicians cannot get this?” He just went up a knotch in my book...Meanwhile, the press doesn’t do any questioning of John F’ng Kerry’s remarks against ISRAEL on the eve of HOLOCAUST DAY! What a COMMUNIST...I hope God really deals with his whole “let’s push Israel to commit suicide” attitude!

I don’t like Cuban one bit. I think he is a punk of the first grade. However, here, I agree. When what you say in the privacy of your own home, becomes public by a blackmailer, and you go down in flames, it is very scary indeed. Now that this has happened, the copy cats will fall out of the walls pulling deals like this. Most will say give me the $$$$ or this comes out and you will go down like this guy did. Blackmailing is going to become big business again.
