Mark Levin went after NRO writer Patrick Brennan for taking cheap shots at Sarah Palin over her NRA speech this weekend.

Levin points out that Sarah Palin is out there “breaking her neck trying to get conservatives elected and trying to keep the base strong” and she’s dismissed by people on “our side.”

“This is how “our side” treats “our side,”” Levin adds. “You’ll never seen the left or Democrats do that to a woman on their side ever!”

I have always supported Palin, but her attacking Christianity and saying what she did put her in league with secular leftists. I hope she rethinks this direction.

Sometimes, I feel like they've kidnapped FR. Other times, I take heart because of the few FReepers who stand against them. I try not to forget that there are many who are reading FR often but rarely if ever post here. They can see what's true and what is bluster.

And Mark is right..reading some of the posts last night regarding what Sarah Palin said about water boarding, I swear it was reading posts from the daily kos. I was really surprised, not by the usual Palin slamming I am used to seeing that, but seeing people actually against water boarding(but have NO problem with Obama droning people) did I miss the memo where all of a sudden the GOP cares about terrorists “feelings” or their “Well being” please let me know if the memo has changed.
Mark is right about the Dems..the one thing that you will never see from Democrats is them trashing their own side. Maybe behind the scenes but you will NEVER see it out in the open, they are loyal to their own, we for some reason throw our own to the wolves to be eaten alive.

How in the hell did Sarah Palin attack Christianity? Have you ever heard of figurative language or did you skip your American Literature classes?

The way I see it, the GOPe wants to be at the parties where the liquor flows freely. Why do you suppose they ride in chauffeur driven cars? You can't drive if you are boozed out on you ass. As for the "cool crowd" table with the liberals, there might be the pot passed around with the crack pipe. It never changes.

Figurative language: Whenever you describe something by comparing it with something else, you are using figurative language. The metaphor is one use of figurative language. A metaphor states a fact or draws a verbal picture by the use of comparison. A simile would say you are like something; a metaphor is more positive - it says you are something. “The fog comes in on little cat feet”, is an example of a metaphor. Figurative language is the use of words that go beyond their ordinary meaning. It requires you to use your imagination to figure out the author’s meaning. For example, if someone tells you that it is raining cats and dogs, you know that there are not actually cats and dogs falling from the sky. You know it really means that it is raining very hard.

Water boarding will become a issue again with the scenes in the movie The Railway Man. The movie shows British Army officer being brutally tortured as a prisoner of war at a Japanese labor camp during World War II. The water boarding segment was as violent as you could imagine. However, the other acts of brutality left lifelong damage to the body. The water boarding will certainly scare you, but you recover quickly afterwards. Not so with a broken leg or hand chopped off.

What was funny was naked Catholic boys at the YMCA in my neighborhood in Brooklyn baptizing naked Jewish boys in 1948.

I guess it was easy to tell which boys needed baptizing.
