Its an Obama world.
Of 953,000 Jobs Created In 2013, 77%, Or 731,000 Were Part-Time.
...
And its likely to get worse
Obamacare will kill off at least two percent of the US full-time workforce.
...
Obamacare is accelerating the US towards a part-time nation.
Even far left Think Progress reported today that most of the jobs added since the recession are low paying jobs.

... and/or government jobs.
AHHHHHA, so raising the minimum wage will make them high paying jobs?
$20 a hour minimum wage should fix that.
Man that is easy ....
What the hell do you mean "would have been"? Don't you remember the "jobless" and "low wage" recovery after the 2000 tech boom? Bush was the POTUS then. All we heard was, 300,000 jobs barely keeps up with population growth, their all low paying jobs, they are all part time work, Americans are getting poorer, etc. It's already happnened.
But I know what is on the right side of the equal sign in the equation.
= LOWER STANDARD OF LIVING. - Tom
I heard Rush Limbaugh discussing this today. Oddly I thought this was an already forgone conclusion and seem to recall Pelosi and friends discussing the lowered income expectations of this recovery being the New Normal.

I seem to recall reading somewhere (on FR most likely) that 90% of the family owned farms went out of business in the past 10 years. I bet most of that loss was since The Won seized power.
“All we heard was, 300,000 jobs barely keeps up with population growth, their all low paying jobs, they are all part time work, Americans are getting poorer, etc. It’s already happnened. “
Under Bush: 5.4% unemployment and 450,000 jobs created this moth. “Worst economy ever.”
That doesn't surprise me. There will be economic winners in the new lower standard of living, but most will be losers especially if they have held long term jobs and have to much invested to try something new and risky.
I think Mark Twain had the best take on the economy:
"The reason most people don't have much money is they are to busy working for a living." -Tom

In the Bush years theirs were called Mcjobs, now it’s called a recovery.
Amazing how times have changed
Well, it is easier to lower America to the rest of the world’s standards, than to raise theirs to ours. . .
What was the 60’s/70’s book about some kind of utopia in which everyone was a part-time, communal worker?
Since January 2009, wage growth has fallen -42.0% while at the same time food and gasoline has skyrocketed in price.
Regular gasoline prices up 128% , while food is up 51%.

The war on coal and the middle class is working as planned.
You’re a piker! Twenty an hour is nothing now, it should be at least a hundred per. Don’t you want hamburger chefs to be able to afford a decent McMansion? Heck, I’m a piker now, make it at least five hundred an hour.
