The NBA will likely suspend L.A. Clippers owner over his racist remarks and encourage him to sell the teamand its not inconceivable the sale will earn him a $988 million profit.
Its only going to get worse for embattled Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling. On Sunday afternoon, Deadspin released a longer version of everyones least-favorite lecherous, reptilian, slumlord billionaire airing his so-called thoughts on race to his (presumably now former) girlfriend, V. Stiviano.
Feel free to listen to more of this poisonous dreck, if you really need to hear how Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp gets dragged in, some very weird and very wrong ideas about black Jews, and, of course, the Holocaust.
Unless the tape in question is somehow proved to be a fabrication of such maliciously doctored skill that itd make Gennifer Flowers blush, Sterling will receive what has to be the largest fine in National Basketball Association history, be suspended, and then be encouragedà la Marge Schott to find a nice, non-racist fellow .01 percenter to sell the team to.
But even if the league eventually has this pustulant boil of a man forcibly removed, itd be perfectly understandable if you were driven to pound nails into the floor with your forehead when you start thinking about the gargantuan pile of ducats that will be his ultimate punishment.

I’d do everything I could to convince one “Rush Limbaugh” to buy the Clippers!
how did this recording of a private telephone conversation take place?
So far there is no legal implications for thoughtcrime, this unofficial civil pillorying is all they can do.
Marge Schott made her comments public ally, to a reporter. From what I've heard this guy's statements were made in a private conversation. Or at least he thought it was private.
The Clippers’ value will never get much higher and the hassle just isn’t worth it now. Sterling should sell up and sleep at night on top of a pile of money with many beautiful ladies.
Can’t Obama make such talk a felony?
I don’t see what was racist about Sterling’s comments. To the contrary, it sounded to me as if he was tired of his girlfriend using black people as some sort of decoration. It was her actions then that were racist as she was using her ‘black friends’ to make herself look ‘diverse’ when it sounds to me like Sterling knows her better.
Ridiculous....The b**** belongs in jail. It’s called blackmail.
On what basis could they fine him? Right, wrong or indifferent, his comments were personal and had nothing to do with his ownership. If he influenced the hiring or firing (within the confines of law), is that not a prerogative of ownership?
My take also.
What set off Sterling was that pic of his girlfriend with Magic, makes me think there is MUCH more to this story..Magic is known for being a womanizer, maybe he was having an affair with this woman(Who is known for swindling rich men and has multiple aliases) and Sterling was afraid he would get AIDS..ya never know, it is possible..notice how Sterling didnt make a fuss about Matt Kemp being in a photo, it was only Magic in that photo that made him so angry
If that would outrage everyone associated with The Beast, gee, go for it.
The speech police is at it again. Private conversations and/or private political donations (Mozilla) are subjected to financial penalties if the speech/donation violates the sensitivities of the politically correct crowd. Of course the NBA has an unblemished record of hiring only model citizens.
I missed this dust up. What, exactly, was it that Sterling (a registered Republican but an exclusive contributor to Democrats) was supposed to have said? And in what context?
Just for the record, some Sponsors are pulling out, perhaps there is a thread on that I have missed.
I heard that taping a phone call without permission is a felony in California. She might be in legal hot water.
Plus Magic played for the LA Lakers. Crosstown rivals.
Picture similar situations say between the Jets and Giants or whomever or whatever is one’s chosen sport, Redsox and Yankees and so on.
I don’t think we’re getting the whole story. I think this is another case of the media being selective in their editing of an illegal wiretap.
