A young American Jewish student, Louis Chip Cantor, 23, attempting to enter Britain, was detained in a cell and interrogated over several hours, subjected to anti-semitic abuse by customs officers and then deported back to the United States for the crime of being Jewish and having an Israeli stamp in his passport. He was shaken down and detained by a female officer wearing a burka. It is a story which leaves no room for misunderstanding.
Eventually, he was informed that he was being denied entry and sent back to the United States. He was walked aboard the plane by a British official, and his passport handed to the American Airlines flight crew, with instructions not to give it to him until the plane arrived in America. Cantor was told that his passport information and fingerprints had been put in a database which would flag him for other officials if he tried to enter any EU nation in the future. The possession of an Israeli visa appears to have been his only offence.

From what I can gather from other sources, the other side may be that he was coming there to work for the summer and didn't have a work visa.
A remarkably odd thing to do.
What mischief can he get up to with his passport over the Atlantic?
Went thru 50 Google entries on the subject without coming to one that wasn’t either Jewish or American conservative. Both of whom obviously have an ax to grind with the story.
Which is not to say that it isn’t exactly as they portray it, merely that I like to get confirmation from a source that isn’t overtly involved with the specific issue.
one possibility is that “Chip” was flagged for being part of the New World Order...or the Illuminati.
thoughts?
I do think there’s something we don’t know.
Haven’t tried to work in UK, but have done so in a couple of Caribbean nations, and they do indeed get all pissy if work visa paperwork isn’t fully in order. Mine always has been, luckily.
Wonder why he didn’t enter on a tourist visa and then take the job under the table, like so many people do here.
This was in May 2013.
I'm having problems with this story also.
Especially the part where the security agent taking his photo was wearing a burkha.
But it is a violation of international law to prevent a traveler from contacting his embassy.
I believe US convictions of UK citizens have been overturned for law enforcement's failure to contact UK consuls on their behalf - let alone denying them access.
One of the articles says that they kept asking him if he wanted to change his answers to some of the questions, so it almost sounds like they would have let him in if he'd just said "tourist." You can fly to Britain without a visa as a tourist, but you can't fly there and say that you're taking a job without having the paperwork in order. And that, I suspect, is why this story died rather quickly last summer.
See post 29.

Absolutely. If we as a group buy into every slanted story without research we do ourselves and our conservative goals a disservice.
How much you want to bet that Chip is an open borders zealot who wants to make sure that whites become a hated minority in the country they built, but gave away to head cases.
My wife travels A LOT on international assignments. In Ireland this week, Buenos Aries last week. Regularly in India, China, Japan, Brazil.
Has an Israeli visa.
No problems passing through Customs in Schiphol yesterday. No problems going through Customs in Heathrow a couple weeks ago.
Either more to the story or the person.
