Yeah....I actually don’t know what I’m gonna do. I’ve had my doctor for near 30 years. He’s older than me and his wife died a couple of years ago and he’s really just keeping his practice open for the patients now.
I’m really apprehensive about his likely decision soon to just sell it out and retire. Where am I gonna find another one like him? It took me 30 years to train him. I don’t have enough time to train another one, especially if Obama’s gonna big box medical care.

The healthcare bill insures we get a permanent Democratic majority."
" All except those Tea Party types, swallowed hook, line and sinker my promises that they could:
(1) keep their existing health plans,
(2) keep their own doctors that they like,
(3) keep their 25-year-olds on the family health plan,
(4) never be denied coverage for a pre-existing condition,
(5) sign up instantly on my tech-savvy government Web site,
(6) buy insurance only after becoming seriously ill."
(7) save $2,500 in annual premiums in the bargain....
(8) All without any new taxes."
"Them sonovagun Tea Partiers will rue the day they criticized my wonderful bill."

JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER TO 2014-2016 VOTERS As far back as 2008, at the presidential debate in Nashville, Democrat candidate Obama advanced his signature plan that was ultimately enacted (by an historic straight Democrat party-line vote) into the "Affordable Care Act:
QUOTING OBAMA: "No. 1, let me just repeat, if youve got a health care plan that you like, you can keep it. All Im going to do is help you to lower the premiums on it. Youll still have choice of doctor.
Repeated over and over by every loyal Democrat---- conning Americans into believing they'd also be saving $2500.00 on healthcare costs.
LOCK-STEPPING DEMOCRAT PARTY LOYALTY NOT SEEN SINCE 1930-40's ERA EUROPE.
HHS Started Individual Obamacare Applications Prior To Deadline, Obtained Personal Info From States
Shark Tank / FR Posted on Friday, April 04, 2014 by M. Thatcher
In the closing days of the open enrollment period for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) , the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) was mailing out letters notifying certain Americans that they had already started a healthcare coverage application on their behalf.
The HHS letter stated that the information they used to begin the application for individual Healthcare was obtain by the state agency in charge of implementing Obamacare.
The next step for the individual would be visit Healthcare.gov and complete the already started application to see if they qualify for Marketplace coverage.
News of the HHS letter was first mentioned by a listener of the popular Daybreak with Drew Steele Show on Fox 92.5, which is out of Fort Myers, Florida.(Excerpt)

NEED TO KNOW:
(1) which states participated in giving confidential information to HHS, and,
(2) how would state agencies know which of their citizens would want or need a new Obamacare-compliant policy.......without violating that individual's privacy--and without consulting the individual?
(3) for an application to be legally enforced, the individual would have had to sign it.
(4) Who signed the app? Forgery must be considered.
(5) When a third party commits you to a financial transaction, that person is considered your fiduciary....and CANNOT act WRT a payment method or other financial burden that conflicts with your best interests.

My doctor told me last September that he was closing his practice on January 1, 2014 due to the high cost of complying with the law and the facts that the change to a totally digital system that complies with Obamacare along with a very slow payment system torpedoed both his will to work and his very financial existence.
He now works as an employee of a large medical establishment....just like the article presented it.
You think it’s bad now, just wait until the government totally screws it up in the future. Hopefully I won’t be around to see that.
For many people it does something more profound, better, perhaps even miraculous...
Obamacare offers no-doctor medicine.
Some of us saw this coming and prepared. Proverbs 22.
We already know the answer. Obama's political friends will be richer. Everybody else will be poorer and sicker.
my healthcare changes these last 12 months..
Retired..
Dentist
Oral Surgeon
Urologist
Proctologist
Ophthalmologist
previous GP quit.
New GP and Cardiologist joined Hospital organizations. No longer ‘private’.
BTW.. the only reason I found a GP with a last name I can pronounce was he was treating my wife and agreed to take me.
On Medicare? Good luck finding a new doctor. !
I’ll be the devil’s advocate.......
Why should the practice of medicine be different than other businesses? Why is a doctor different from say an appliance store or mom and pop hardware store?
Why is a doctor not subject to economies of business scale like the drug store business?
The amalgamation of several doctors under one large roof that may or may not include family practitioners and specialists that are open 7 days a week is Walgreens or Walmart or Best Buy or Lowes.
Obamacare did not start the trend to group practices.
The same thing happened with my doctor - he had his own practice until two years ago and then he left it and went to a multi-doctor clinic.
I tried to prepare my doc by telling her I would go to natural remedies, turns out I have to take one of the seven drugs I was on. Turns out that I have to see her every 3 months result of some Fed or state law, don’t know which. I ask for a 1 year script as I did not want to be involved in this bull, once every 3 months was it. Turns out the natural remedies work better then the 6 scripts I had been paying for. By that I mean vitamins and supplements. Now the FDA is talking about screwing up that loophole. Stock up on all vitamins and supplements that will keep for awhile or find totally natural sources. That is what I am doing.
Not to worry, next step is to import thousands of third world “Doctors” to treat Americans. Most will be from Muslim countries and are very concerned about the well being of Infidels.
-— we wont know for years whether -—
You might as well wear an “idiot” sign on your forehead.
I am not opposed to economies of scale, aggregating many specialties, etc. under one convenient roof. However, what Obama and his PooCaCa law is doing is to effectively remove the ability of choice of care.
By imposing ridiculous conditions, onerous paperwork, tracking and insurance requirements, he is forcing the practice of medicine into a bureaucracy regimen that is historically ineffective and overly bloated.
Further, by making single doctor practice impractical, he is taking the doctor-patient relationship to one that isn't based on personal interaction and knowledge anymore. The new regime will be a nondescript professional (probably from some third world medical school) operating an assembly line examination where he knows nothing about the patient save what some bureaucrat allows him/her to see regarding the medical records.
I have had the same physician in a large group for more than 10 years. Being part of a group does not disrupt a long standing relationship. He knows me quite well. My former Dr joined the group by sell ing his practice and then at 65 retired.
Even after the abandonment of Ocare when the Republicans take control, the use of computers in billing and diagnosis and testing is not going away. Electronic records are a boon. The hospital has my records generated by the three groups I visit. The main group is the repository.
It is change, but not necessarily bad change.
Waiting times to see specialists and have even out patient medical procedures done is going to be greatly increased. Wait times used to be days, then weeks, and now they are months.
