Cops shoot dogs. It’s what they do.

The dog was shot in the BACK of the head, indicating that she was fleeing. This coward LEO shot her as she was running away and then refused to put her out of her misery, leaving her loving owner to do the most horrible thing I could imagine to end her pain--choking her to death with his own hands. OMG.
Not only should this POS be fired, but he should be tossed into general population JAIL. And really, he should have the complete crap beaten out of him with a gauntlet of baseball bats. Finally, he should be made to purchase a new dog for the heartbroken owner AND to volunteer at a dog shelter for a looonnggg time.

"Dooley was fired for his own safety"
There seems to be more of that going around these days (same excuse for the BLM fold at the Bundy Ranch).

"Deputy Dooley retained me today to share his side Oh yes, lawyering up is all about sharing. Warm fuzzies are breaking out all over. Deputy Dawgkiller is just a poor, misunderstood family man who was only doing his jahb.

Source please to back that claim

How terrible is that? He had to end her suffering. For somewhat similar reasons (an injury, not a shooting) I also had to do this in May of 1979 for my own dog. I never forgot it.
To: DeaconBenjamin
I watched the dashcam video yesterday.
The deputy had plenty of time to get back in his car when he saw that the dog was becoming agitated.
All he needed to do is get back in his car and have the dispatcher call the homeowner to come and control his dog. No need to shoot the dog when he has shelter a few steps away.

One of the original threads contained that info and an interview with the dog’s owner.

Well, we can be reasonably certain that steroids had nothing to do with this, just look at that tub of goo, turned tail and ran away from the mess his own bucked up "I am the law" ego created. The guy's not even fit for mall security but I suspect a little four cylinder sedan with green lights on the top is in his future, if they'll have him and if he doesn't serve time.

Thank you time to do homework!
To: DeaconBenjamin
Hey deacon, how is this justified when the dog was shot in the back of the head?
Hows that work?

OK, I’ll keep an open mind. Shot the dog in the back of the head, well that certainly explains it.

You are asking me to justify the shooting of the dog? Why would you assume I support the deputy’s action?

Wait a minute here. I’m not defending some asshat shooting a dog in the back of the head but if what you say is true then there may be something to this shooting after all.
