Problems arose because a single student, junior Daniela Hernandez, was offended by the partys theme of Phiesta.
As a result, the soiree, which was scheduled for Saturday, has been canceled by the presidents of the respective Greek organizations.
Phi Delt president Taylor Catchcart explained why the Greek organizations folded.
We felt that the possibility of offending even one member of the Dartmouth community was not worth the potential benefits of having the fundraiser, he said.

Good Grief.
"Racist" has lost it's meaning
Harry Reid type I am certain.

Wuss.
The laws of this country weren’t created so as not to offend certain people. Anybody can claim to be offended by the words or actions of numerous things. The people who wanted to put on the Phiesta had their first amendment rights denied. It would be no different if some people around my part of the country objected to the Syttende Mai celebrations of Norwegian heritage. They can object, but they have no right to stop others from celebrating the event.
Wow, Dartmouth now has a one offended person veto policy. Let’s see if it is applied without discrimination.

No, no. I said, “It’s a fee, Esther...”
That only works for members of protected minorities. Offended Whites, Conservatives or Judeo-Christians don’t count.
Can you imagine “living” in a country where each person has subjective veto authority over anything? I can’t.
Thanks for your insightful take. Now that you point it out, it’s obvious. I didn’t notice he is an exec on the Dartmouth Review.
We Italians have been insulted by Americans ever since Yankee Doodle stuck that feather in his cap.
It’s official: College is stupid.
No way my teenager is going to one.
Last time I checked the word fiesta is spanish and originates fom the land of Cervantes a Spaniard from Spain which happens to be a Eueopean nation full of white folks. I should know since i am of spanish origin. En ese caso yo soy racista!
If you want to know what the left wants to do to us, just look at US colleges. They put into practice the principles of marxism and income ‘redistribution’, and show extreme hatred for the USA.
Is it offensive to eat at a Fiesta Burrito

HOLY GUACAMOLE! This PC stuff has gone too far.
Yeap, and family meals in my home have gotten really awkward..
"Evening, dear..."
She: "Tu eres RACISTA!"
"How are the kids?"
Chorus: "Es el diablo blanco!" - the kids scatter.
Family life in the divisive age of Obama has truly become a challenge.
In truth my wife cracks me up. She'll watch some sort of report on TV and get sick of it, change the channel and as she walks off in her heavy, sexy accent say "Raceest!Raceest!Raceest!..."
Some people are so weak of mind and soul that they will never be able to appreciate and enjoy the infinite diversity of God's creation. They truly live in a hell of their own making.
Its Official: At Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM),
, The Words Party Time are Racist And Mexican People Cant Use It ,
“Cuando vino Harold Pinter a México, Fuentes se ofreció a traducir dos de sus obras breves Moonlight y Party Time.”
There fixed it.
Meanwhile, he named the complainer (Daniela Hernandez), and everybody at Dartmouth who might have wanted to go to Phiesta will now blame her for the cancellation.
