Why do you continually post RT Russian State propaganda? Are you one of our resident Putinista’s?
Seriously, this is no better than Granma - Cuban state propaganda.
“US Weapons” ?
From fast and furious?
From Bengazi?
Or some other secret obammy charade?
Then, by your logic, we should NEVER post an article by ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC... etc.
I thought the idea here on FR was to discuss an article (including it's validity) instead of just outright ignoring it.
Do you have any proof that anything in this article is not true ?
So, the bumbling community organizer, Barry Soetoro Obozo, and his handler, Valerie Jarrett, sent the ATF thugs to raid a checkpoint in the Donetsk region
Nope. The kenyan sent airborne infantry to Poland and the former SU. And superman Putin can’t do a damn thing about it but watch.
RT and other such sources are known propaganda outlets. It is not a matter of opinion, so your outbursts mean nothing. I would also appreciate it if you didn’t start hallucinating and accusing me of declaring that I want someone murdered.
We have freedom of the press here, and therefore higher standards, to where the astute might still expose Dan Rather or check the facts. Thete is no press freedom in Russia, and the government openly manipulates them, and beats and murders its opposition. A better question is, why do you excuse Stalin’s media by pointing to MSNBC? And why do you prefer Stalin’s propaganda? The burden of proof for Moscow’s claims is on them and their apologists, not us.
Keep on Trollin’!
It is a good post, thanks tcrlaf.
If you don’t like the source, post after it, noting the source is Russian propaganda, but let’s see what they are saying. Knowing what Russia is telling its people lets us know what they may be preparing their population for.
If they post a totally false article saying we murdered 25,000 innocent Russian soldiers, but there is no western source for the story, it is still significant, because it may portend theri inclination towards war.
Of course even with a propaganda source, it is possible they are right.
People who love FR love it because it isn’t CBS news, only giving us what we “need” to know. Here, we see what everyone is saying, and make up our own minds.
Thank you..
We are informed enough to make our own decisions about what is and isn’t propaganda, for the most part.
But that isn’t the purpose of the flame troll ID’s that have suddenly popped up. They want to extinguish the airing of any news or viewpoint that doesn’t meet their idea of reality. Many now won’t post on Ukraine news threads simply because they don’t want to deal with the flaming.
Anything that doesn’t meet EuroMaidan PR’s viewpoint is “propaganda”. (WHO is “Euromaidan PR, anyway?)
As I have pointed out many times, US reporting, if they report an event, at all, is two to three days behind RT, that has been near real-time with much of it, even if it is from the Russian viewpoint.
Notice that despite several requests for News of the events from sources they approve of go unfulfilled, they still scream “Propaganda!” without providing an alternative.
The downside of the internet explosion is that any 12 yr-old with a computer now gets to act mean and tough, anonymously.
I find it amusing that none of these people complain about MSNBC or CBS as propaganda. Everything is propaganda today - either corporate, political, financial, or personal, and some of the Liberal stuff is beyond belief - to the point a lot of people now just beleive the opposite of what they are told.
I heard a bunch of people talking at the store a while back. One said they may have found the missing Malaysian Airlines flight. The three others promptly agreed they couldn’t have, because it is in a hanger somewhere in the Pacific, under US guard. They said it like it was fact. I think they were all just assuming the media and the government are liars. I thought, wow, that is a distrust of media right there!
These people hurt their cause more than anything, because if somebody is telling me I can’t look at something, my first question is, why don’t you want me seeing that, and making up my own mind about it? It immediately makes me question the solidity of their position.
Thanks again for giving us a varied array of sources here.
You are trying to put words in my mouth that I didn't say. I am not excusing Russian( you do know Stalin is dead, don't you?) media. I am saying you can't trust theirs or ours.
And why do you prefer Stalins propaganda?
I don't. I prefer the one that is telling the truth, at the time. Sometimes it is ours and sometimes it is theirs.
The burden of proof for Moscows claims is on them and their apologists, not us.
I agree. But maybe you should read this.
Romanian military units moving towards Ukrainian border
Granted, it's still a Russian source, but they are quoting Romanian officials.
You didn't answer my question, though. What IF it were true that we had some kind of military 'advisers' on the ground in that area ?
A worthless point then. You might as well say "water is wet," but our media is actually freer and larger than the Russian versions, which are entirely under threat of Kremlin violence. A person can double check Rather's reporting, report it on a blog, or go on Fox News. Consequently it's harder for them to lie as outrageously as the Russian controlled media can. (By the way, did you know that RT recently had on a woman as a legitimate source, unknown to the viewers, who also asserts that the Vatican is under control of alien forces and that they're hording all the gold?) So your point is not only a red herring, it is an exaggeration.
You didn't answer my question, though. What IF it were true that we had some kind of military 'advisers' on the ground in that area ?
Why would I answer a stupid question like this? How about this question instead: Let us assume that Putin is a Nazi, what method do you think is the best to get rid of him? These speculative questions I prefer a great deal more.
