Wave of shootings leaves 4 dead, 26 wounded since Friday afternoon

At least four people were killed and 26 wounded in a 16-hour wave of shootings on Chicago's South, West and Southwest sides starting Friday afternoon, according to police.

In less than 14 hours starting about 1:20 p.m. Friday, the number of people shot in the city climbed past half the number shot the entire previous weekend, the city's most violent of the year to date.

If Tea Party members had killed 'four people and wounded 26 in a 16-hour wave of shootings' the Department of Homeland Security would be adding another 3,000 goons to their payroll. And the New York Times would be writing about it for years...

Odd how it doesn't matter when it's a bunch of black democrats doing the killing...

The band that did the song, “The Night Chicago Died” was taken to task for referring to the “old east side.” But there actually is a neighborhood on the far southern tip of Chicago known as the Eastside, so called because it is on the east side of Calumet Harbor. Crime there hasn’t been quite as bad there as in other places, but it is starting to pick up. It has always had a reputation as kind of a tough area: the mob used to dump bodies there, Loeb and Leopold disposed of Bobby Franks there, etc.

Hillary needs at least one on the Far Laft (Rahm or Sanders), and whoever GOPe puts up will be played as a Far Right TEA Party Extremist so Hillary can triangulate toward the reasonable, rational center.

I know that, but I always want to make the East side comment whenever I hear people from Chicago talk about the city. Incidentally, I was born in Illinois but left when I was 6 months old. Even at that young age I’d seen enough, lol.
