Good evening Kathy & did YOUR week finish on a high note I hope? *Hugs*

On April 26, 1972, I was at Saarland University, where classes on the history of Eastern European "people's democracies," post-Napoleonic Germany and international socialism before WWI were keeping me busy. Nonetheless, I was able to listen to the radio. This was one of the big hits of the time--a song about a young man who dies of a drug overdose:
On the Day Conny Kramer Died--Juliane Werding

It warmed up, but it's quite comfortable, and the humidity is not a problem yet.
I'm gearing up for a move from Georgia in a few weeks, and that's kept me hopping.

Saarland. Netherlands, Germany or South Africa? I’m not familiar with the name.

England 1943. I think the officers wanted to keep the troops busy. Actually I think that is how Hadrian's Wall got built.

This was another tune that was starting to get airplay in late April, 1972. It should have been a much bigger hit than it was.
Don't Let Him Touch You--The Angelettes

In addition to the Top 10, I have a couple of surprises in this set.

“The Wayward Wind” was one of my favorites. Another one from the same era was “They Call the Wind Mariah”.
